Slipping back into the pool brings you instant relief. You feel better almost immedietly, the cool water feels so natrual. You wait anxiously for a bit, to see if the
mosaic is going to glow, but it just sits there. The two fish in the mosaic seem perfectly normal now, although now that you study it closely, you can see that the
mouths of the fish are turned in such a way that they almost appear mocking...
You wish the pool were a little bigger. Since you're obviously not walking anywhere without feet, you'd at least like to try out your new mode of locomotion, but
sadly the pool is a bit too small to do much in. You can swim a little bit in it, but you don't have enough room to get much speed.
The feel of water rushing past your new fins is very weird. You keep wanting to kick your feet like in swimming class, and you keep being surprised by the fact that
you no longer HAVE feet. This will obviously take some getting used to.
Eventually the novelty wears off, and you take stock of your situation. You have no legs. You have the tail of some tropical fish. You require water or you dry out.
You're probably not going anywhere soon, unless you want to wiggle around the house on your belly.
It looks like you're stuck as a resident of the pool for now.
