Ruby, a mean ,overweight highschool girl, finds the ring of change and uses it on the most beautiful girl in school, Jessica. Jessica is a nice, social girl with average grades, and she takes pride in the exercise routine and diet that keep her so trim, and despises being Ruby because of the hard work it took to shape the body stolen from her.
Ruby Jones was trudging home from another Friday at her least favorite place in the world: her highschool.
She hated every single person she was forced to interact with there, but her worst enemy was Jessica Ward, who was considered the prettiest girl by most everyone who met her, and Ruby was no exception. Ruby hated that Jessica was so beautiful, and was extremely jealous of her form and popularity.
Ruby was so caught up in her hatred that she didn't notice the hole in the sidewalk right under her foot. She sank down to her knee in mud, and when she pulled her leg out she noticed that a ring had gotten stuck next to her foot inside of her tennis shoe. She pulled it out, and after brushing the grime off of it, she found that it had a engraving on the outside of it: "Be another." "What could that mean?" she thought, but she found out soon enough after discovering another engraving on the inside that described the exact process necessary to "be another."
Ruby arrived at her home, a shitty one bedroom apartment that she shared with her father. She walked through the door and threw her backpack onto the couch, sat down on the floor in front of it, and decided to use the ring right away. She knew exactly who she would become before even slipping the ring on, and as she thumped to the floor her vision blurred and she felt her senses fade away.
