Morgan La Fey smirked as she gazed at her crystal ball. Despite the cheap and hokey appearance, the artifact was quite powerful. Gazing at Mary Elise and Kellie she smiled.
“Well,” she sighed as the two teens went to join Merlin for dinner. “That was expected.”
Morgan had wished to make Mary Elise her apprentice but realized that option was a long shot. The girl was linked to Kellie and her friends; even protected by Merlin’s charms preventing harm. Giving Mary Elise the ring served two purposes. It scared Merlin into becoming directly involved and it opened up the seams of reality. Waving her hand Morgan watched as the scene in Kellies home faded while a new one came into view. “Ah much better,” she grinned.
Morgan now gazed at a college age Katie celebrating the engagement of her friends and her adopted mother’s pregnancy. “Now this,” she smirked. “This is much more more style.”
Morgan watched as Katie now talked with her little sister Gloria. Morgan smiled wickedly as she saw the young girl joke with her older sister. The young teen was only beginning to understand her power, a power that rivaled her sisters and could possibly surpass it....with the right training.
“Oh Merlin, You let that teenager convince you to let her bridge realities,” she giggled. “By doing so you’ve given me the perfect opportunity to find an apprentice I can mold in my own image.” Morgan watched Gloria closely as she talked with her family. “Gloria could easily be turned towards her darker desires,” she mused. “All it would take would be a slight push and *poof* new apprentice.””
Morgan continued watching as the young teen floated amongst her friends. She watched with interest as she examined the group of young teens, including one that was currently reliving her youth.
“All of Gloria’s friends are so interesting,” Morgan mused. “Still how poetic would it be if I could turn the girls own aunt against them. None of them realize just how lonely the woman is, she’s desperate for a fresh start. Perhaps....I can offer her one. That is if I can’t turn Gloria or one of the others.”
Morgan now adjusted the view in her crystal ball. As she settled on Lisa an evil grin spread wide across her face. “Now you,” she smirked. “You are perhaps the most appealing option and one that would not only cause misery but allow me to gain the power to finally topple Merlin and his apprentices.”
Morgan smiled wickedly as she watched Lisa pat her stomach. The auburn haired woman seemed to glow as she talked dreamily about the child growing within her. A child Morgan Le Fay wanted for herself.
“None of them yet realize that infants potential,” she said. “A child born into a magical family that has ties to Merlin and his magic. A child that could potentially become the strongest wizard in the world.”
Morgan drummed her fingers on the countertop as she continued watching Lisa and Jason talk of their child together. The two adults had great hopes for this child, hopes shared not only by their family but by Morgan herself.
“You played right into my hands Merlin,” she said. “You opened the dimensional barrier and let me have access to this world. Now I just need to bide my time. I have so many choices now for an apprentice. The little sister, her friends, the aunt and most appealing the child growing in that woman’s womb. All I need now is patience.”
Leaning back slightly the sorceress began to laugh maniacally, her master plan was now beginning. One she hoped would finally topple Merlin.
