It didn't take long for Ann and Jackie to find Gloria and told her they had something important they wanted to discuss with her along with Lisa, and Katie. Eventually all five of them excused themselves from the party and met in a secluded room.
"Now, what is it you wanted that you had to break me away from Kellie?" Katie asked raising her eyebrow.
"Yeah, and I was making plans with Nate for a date." Gloria said.
"Well....Ann here wanted to talk to you all about something important and just so you know, what she has to say: I support her 100%, she's my best friend." Jackie said taking Ann's hand.
"Ann, what exactly is it you want to say?" Lisa asked looking at her currently regressed sister.
Ann took a deep breath before answering.
"I want to be 14 again for real." Ann answered.
Lisa, Gloria, and Katie all stared at her for a minute before answering together.
"Absolutely not." Lisa, Gloria, and Katie all said at once.
"Why not? I've got enough money to last me a lifetime. I could stay here in this house, Katie isn't using it anyway. I spend so much of my adult life at work and come home to an empty house, and my only best friend is Jackie, a 14 year old girl." Ann explained.
"Ann, I know you want to have another chance at growing up and having a different life than when you grew up the first time, but honestly think about this from a more logical standpoint. Who's going to be your legal guardian? I know for a fact Jason and I are willing to help you with stuff, but I've already got one baby coming and I'm not about to have four daughters." Lisa said.
"Yeah, Kellie and I have talked about kids and we're really not ready for kids at all at this point. We just want to get married first and wait a little ways down the lane....maybe."
"Aunt Ann, I want to make you happy however I can, but I honestly don't know how to help you in this situation. The only other people who could help you would be grandpa and grandma and I doubt you could really be seen as their daughter at your age." Gloria said.
Ann frowned at this, she really wanted to go through with this, but her family was right, she hadn't really thought about this thoroughly. All she really had wanted was just to be young again. Lisa then came over to her sister and had to bend down to talk to her.
"Ann, I want to help you and you know I'll always love you no matter what age you are, but maybe reconsider this before going into it." Lisa asked Ann as she nodded.
Just then, the five of them heard a knock at the door.
"Yes? Who is it?" Ann asked.
"An old friend." The voice on the other side of the door replied before opening it up. On the other side in an expensive suit with a long silver beard and grey hair was Merlin himself.
"Merlin!" Gloria and Katie both smiled as they came over to greet him.
"Hello girls, I had heard about the engagements and came to give my regards, but I'd also been keeping an eye on you all every now and again and foresaw Ann's decision about becoming 14 again and wanted to come to offer a solution." Merlin explained.
All the girls in the room looked confused.
"Merlin, what do you mean? How could we ever possibly solve this dilemma?" Gloria asked.
"Oh, not all of you, just you, Gloria." Merlin specified.
"What? How can Gloria solve this all by herself?" Katie asked.
"I recall a little while back, we were all reliving Thanksgiving in 1998 and many of Gloria's friends would have disappeared if not for Gloria herself using the ring and it's power, I was very impressed Gloria." Merlin congratulated.
"Thanks, I didn't know I had it in me." Gloria said.
"Neither did I, I looked into your family history Gloria, and your mother, your birth mother that is, actually had some roots in magic. That's the reason why you were able to save all your friends lives, you have a little bit of magic inside of you." Merlin explained.
Gloria was astounded at this revelation and that she was actually descended from magic.
"That's really cool and all, but what exactly does this have to do with my sister and becoming young again?" Ann asked Merlin.
"Gloria and I can help Ann both live out her teen years again, and still be an adult at the same time." Merlin explained.
"Okay, now you're really confusing me." Ann said.
"Let me explain: Gloria and I can use our magic together to create another Ann, one who is the adult and your sister, as well as Katie and Gloria's aunt. The new Ann will have all of the old Ann's memories and believe she has been transformed by the ring before, but now she will also have become a single mother to her daughter whom she named after herself Ann Jr. The teenage Ann will have new memories growing up with her mother Ann and her parents will now be her grandparents. How does all that sound, young Ann?" Merlin asked the young girls.
"It sounds...pretty promising." Ann admitted.
"Good, now we can do it now or wait until after the party, because I still need to get to the refreshments." Merlin joked a little.
