Tia's eyes bulged a little as a dark scaled quadrupedal dragon taller than a draft horse stepped around a corner right in front of the two. Apus suddenly made a salute and Tia did her best to copy, only for them to notice her sloppy posture.
"Ah, the transfer, I was about to send for you," the true dragon said, "and yet of course, the trouble maker has gotten to you first." She made a show of a groan and shrug. "If you're that keen to socialize Apus, you can wake up the others in your training group. If I find out you stopped for some fun with them like you've done with her, you'll be carrying so many clutches tomorrow that you have to crawl through the morning hike."
"Yes mam!" Apus said, turning to leave, with Tia catching her sticking her tongue out at the larger CO.
"Now..." the commander started, dragging Tia into a small alcove by the collar of her chainmail suit, and making a small magic gesture at the open wall that dimmed the outside noise. "... Before I ask what ideas Apus has been giving you, I'd like to ask about your sudden appearance."
Tia squirmed a little at this, and the CO let her down on something resembling a couch. "I'm... Not really sure what to say."
"Its not exactly normal for a new recruit to show up overnight, have several people vouch for them on the same day, while also having no past to speak of... Any intelligence officer would say that you've been planted here; likely by one with strong magical abilities," the commander said, "would you agree?"
Tia slinked deeper into the seat, feeling defeated and afraid. "I wasn't sure you'd believe me if I told you."
The larger dragoness scoffed. "So much for you being a spy, admitting it that quickly... You're probably just the victim of some wizard with a sense of humour," she said, "in any case, that's basically all I needed to hear, but I'd like to know what kind of ideas Apus has been getting into your head."
Tia blinked, feeling more anxious than relieved. "Well... Mostly just voicing some annoyance with you, mentioning how you keep our eggs sealed inside us for training, and that this is a camp for lesbians."
At that last point, the CO blinked and sighed. "Of course she would focus on that part, she's got a one track mind like a horny drake," she said, "I should probably clear things up... You know how you reproduce right?"
"Apus was a little detailed on that... Or at least on the single parent aspects," Tia said.
"Well, let's just say this makes it easier to mass produce a warrior caste using only females when every warrior can lay a dozen eggs every morning, and its not nessacarily to get males involved," the commander started, "pretty much every warrior camp is only females for that reason... Where Apus gets the idea this is a lesbian camp, is that we're in... Lets call it remote territory... Not many drakes out here and you need drakes to produce drakes... So unless a girl is fine spending her pleasure time with herself or other girls, not many are willing to come out here... If a warrior dragoness wanted to mate with a drake, they'd get themselves posted in our citadel."
Tia thought about this for a moment, and a thought came to mind. "Why do I get the feeling you're not exactly here 'willingly'?"
The CO laughed. "Did Apus really make me sound like I'm that bitchy? I didn't think I'd came off that way around you just yet," she said. She turned and gave a frown and a frustrated look out at the cave of horny dragonesses outside. "But you're right... I was sent out here and told to get impregnated by a human of all things to make the first clutch for this area; and between the humiliation of having to go through that, and the fact I've got to deal with a bunch of horny sluts who would rather be swollen with more eggs than they were ever meant to carry, than they would to exercise even a pinch of self restraint..." She sighed. "Well, I'm surprised Apus hasn't spread a rumour that I miss the company of males... Though honestly, that one would be true."
Tia and the commander sat awkwardly for a moment, only for the commandeer to clear her throat.
"Well... Glad to have someone to listen to my problems, but I believe I need to check that your new girlfriend hasn't made another girl so big she needs a girdle," the commander said.
"Do I want to know what you mean by girdle?" Tia said.
"Right... Almost forgot you're likely a wizard's victim," the larger dragoness said, sighing to punctuate it. "Just imagine a dragoness so swollen with eggs she can't fit her arms around her belly, or that if she lies on her stomach she can't bring her arms or legs to the floor... Now imagine holding that belly inside a pocket with more space on the inside, that way they can actually move but still have to carry the weight... That's what we mean by girdle."
Tia sort of shies away at that mental image, only for the true dragon to tap a claw against the glowing field around the alcove just in time for them to see Apus arriving back, panting a little from the run.
"I managed to get them all awake," Apus said, "but Snowy is still being fitted for her first girdle... She's got to have at least a dozen clutches in her."
The commander groaned. "Of course one of the first season recruits would get swollen like a second season, there's always one..." She shook her head, raising one of her foreclaws to rub her temples. "Apus, just take Tiamatia to the entrance. You have a three day hike ahead for your endurance training, and she's going to need you to show her what to pack."
Apus smirked. "Come on, its going to be nice getting away from the boss for a few days," she said, grabbing Tia's hand and dragging her along.
"-And give her a sleeping bag of her own! Don't just forget as an excuse to get her to share yours!" the commander shouted after them.
It wasn't long before they reached the mouth of the cave, and the scenery opened up into...
