Monica's bedroom door opens.
"You alright, Monica?" a man asks her. Something about this man felt familiar to her, but something was off as well. It was her boyfriend, yet she felt like she had someone else as a boyfriend as well... She couldn't figure it out. Maybe she was wrong?
"I'm fine, Mike. Just tired" Monica responded. She got out of bed, stretching and yawning. It was the afternoon, she usually didn't sleep that long. Maybe it was something to do with the dream?
"Okay. I've got to go now. I've got that meeting with the new business corporation, you know, the one talking about how..." Mike said, but Monica didn't really pay any attention to what he was actually saying. She just nodded away, not listening to a word he said, but was still encouraging and supporting him. "...city centre, you know that one, right?"
"Yep, I know. Enjoy your meeting!" Monica replied. Mike walked over to her and kissed her on the cheek. Monica did the same to Mike. Mike waved goodbye as he walked out of the room and out the front door. Monica sat back down on her bed. Something was odd today, she felt odd. It didn't feel like she was at home, it all felt somewhat new to her, but it was her home, her home that she's had for several years. Maybe she just didn't to focus on something different. A shower might fix that. Monica got undressed, removing her pyjamas and walked to her bathroom. Something about being completely naked made Monica think, it felt... right. It was so liberating, getting away from those uncomfortable human clothes... Human? Monica shook those confusing thoughts out of her mind as she reached the shower. Was it the dream that made her feel like this? She was an animal in the dream, could that be it? It all felt to real to her, being a pig, all to real for a dream, surely? At least, she hoped it was a dream. Monica stepped into the shower and turned the faucets on. She tried to forget about the dream and focus on enjoying the shower, but it was still lingering on in her mind, she couldn't really stop it.
"It was just a dream, Monica, it was just a dream..." Monica told herself, but something about the dream was so real. As she tried to resist thinking about the dream, the harder it was to resist. She tried to concentrate on the water from the shower instead. The shower was so relaxing, endless drips of water cleansing the body, but Monica didn't feel as relaxed as she usually did. There was something about the water that didn't feel as relaxing as before, she wanted something different. For some reason, she thought that mud would be a far better option that showering in water. The idea of having mud pouring down the shower made Monica relax even further, imagining herself washing herself with mud, rolling around in the mud, getting completely covered in the stuff made Monica happy. She didn't know why, it felt better, it felt good, it felt... right. Monica woke up from her relaxation. She couldn't believe what she was thinking. She always hated mud, so why was she so into it right now? Monica shook her head again. Something was up and Monica didn't know what it was. Monica turned off the water and stepped out of the shower, grabbing a towel to wipe herself down with. She walked over to the mirror, just to see if there was any make-up that she forgot she was wearing that dripped off. She wiped down the mirror with her towel...
