Visit from the future

added by O 5 years ago S O

It was now December, Katie had returned from college was enjoying a much needed break. Gloria and her friends her happily enjoying high school, Christmas was only a couple weeks away. Christmas break would give them ample time to relax. Finally Lisa was adjusting to being pregnant with a very magical infant. Ann’s office adventure had thankfully been the only insanity so far but it still caused Lisa some concerns (aside from a slowly expanding stomach).

As 12’o clock hit a fierce wind began to tear through the nearby woods. Unnoticed by the sleeping inhabitants, a portal began to glow in the winter night. Glowing bright white it slowly expanded before seeming to explode in a brilliant flash. As the portal vanished to teenage girls and a large teenage boy now stood in the clearing.

“Geez Lynne,” the 16 year old boy said, rubbing his head. “I can’t believe you really used THAT spell.”

The 14 year old redhead smirked as she stared back at the large Asian teen. “Well how else was I going to get here Tommy,” she said. “Really hard to travel through time without a spell.”

Tommy Harris frowned as he now gazed at the teen. “Okay true,” he frowned. “But that’s not the point. Lynne, your mom and your sisters are going to freak out if they find out you’ve been messing with time travel.”

“They’ll understand,” Lynne said. “We’re trying to help remember. I need to give them a warning, that’s it. Then we can go home. After we have a little fun of course.”

Tommy sighed as he now glanced over at the athletic brunette teen shivering in the cold. “Tricia say something to your friend please,” he asked. “Can you tell her that the idea of us going back in time is a really bad idea.”

“He has a point Lynne,” Tricia said. “I mean Tommy is the only one that can drive. How are we going to get there?”

“I’ll think of something,” Lynne said confidently. “Besides aren’t you excited about seeing your parents? Their going to freak when they find out about you.”

Tricia frowned as she narrowed her eyes at her best friend. “So not cool Lynne,” she fumed. “I already know I was a bit of an accident. Mom and dad weren’t exactly trying to get pregnant at the time. I mean sure it worked out great and they are the coolest parents ever but they were really freaked out at first. Youve seen the wedding photos, they had that deer in the headlight look.”

Lynne giggled as she remembered the photos of Tricia’s parents. The two of them had to push their wedding up to the spring of 2019. While both of their parents weren’t exactly thrilled at first they fully supported the young couple. After the couple married Tricia’s father redoubled his efforts to succeed, as a result Mike Davis was now one of the best pitchers in baseball, with his wife Samantha as his agent.

“Hey Trish,” Lynne said softly. “Listen, I know your folks didn’t have an easy go of it at first but you know they love you. I mean they are the sweetest people any of us have ever met. I’m sure they’ll be thrilled to meet you.”

“And probably ground you,” Tommy smirked.

Lynne spun around quickly, sticking her tongue out at Tommy. “Pay him no mind,” she said. “He’s just mad because I get to see how he looked when he was just a fat toddler.”

As Tommy began to protest Tricia began to laugh. The teen couple were adorably cute in the barbs they traded back and forth. Tricia just shook her head as she watched the two, she may be Lynne’s best friend but Tommy was her soulmate. Exhaling she now gazed out at the town below. “So this is 2018,” she whispered. “Tommy, Lynne, any idea how we find Katie and Gloria?”

Lynne rubbed her chin thoughtfully as she tried to come up with a plan. “Well,” she said thoughtfully. “If it’s 2018 then Gloria would be home and I think Katie would be at her house, if she’s not a college still. I say we go to one of those places first.”

“And how do we get their my favorite fire brand,” Tommy asked sarcastically.

“Duh we drive,” Lynne answered.

Tommy frowned as he gestured around the woods. “Oh of course,” he exclaimed. “What was I thinking. Let’s drive. Oh wait! We don’t have a freaking car.” Lynne shook her head smiling. Reaching into her pocket she produced a small toy SUV. Placing it on the ground Lynne waved her hands as she muttered a spell.

Slowly but surely the group watched as the car began to grow bigger and bigger. Soon a full sized SUV stood before the teens. Lynne turned to her friends, taking a dramatic bow as Tommy continued to frown. “Showoff,” he grumbled as he opened the door. Lynne smiled as she gently kissed her boyfriend on the cheek. “And you love it,” she giggled. “Now let’s drive.”
