Damon's apartment was now empty. The only thing living was the genie who returned to the lamp. But there was something outside, or someone, walking to his front door as the echos of shoes on carpet with creaky floorboards became louder and louder. There was a knock on the door. The knock echoed through the empty house.
"Damon...?"
The person knocked again.
"Damon, it's me. It's Monica. Look... can we talk about us, please?"
No answer. Monica was about to leave until she saw that the door was slightly cracked open. She tried to push the door, and after some small attempts, the stiff door opened. Monica looked around. It was silent. No sounds of his computer screen buzzing, no sounds of him crunching on chips, nothing. But that wasn't going to stop Monica from finding where he is or was. "Always leaves with a mess" She said to herself "I mean, look at the place. It looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a fortnight". Monica looks at the lamp. "Oh, even his "antiques" are not even dusted off" she said as she rubbed off the dust-covered lamp. The lamp began to spark. Out of a mix between confusion and fear, Monica placed the lamp back where she found it, but the lamp continued to crack, pop and fizzle sparks out of the spout. Monica didn't know what was happening. A huge cloud of smoke pushed out of the lamp and formed itself into a beautiful woman. "What's going on?" Monica shouted in her mind. The woman turned towards Monica "Greetings, I am the genie of the lamp!". Monica was surprised. A genie? I mean, it seemed obvious that a genie would come out of a dusty lamp, but the shock of it actually happening shocked Monica. "I can grant any wish, mistress" the genie said.
Monica was confused, was this why Damon wasn't here? She had to ask. "W-wh-where's Damon?" Monica asked.
"He has gone to experience his wish, mistress".
Monica felt fed up that Damon left for a wish "That Jackass!". Her anger turned into a groan of sadness.
"What is wrong, mistress?"
Monica sighed. "I just wish that I could be with him, experience that wish with him".
The genie clicked her fingers "Your wish is my command, mistress". Monica had realised her mistake, and the worst part about it, she didn't know what his wish was. "Wait, no, that's not what I meant!" Monica said, she started to feel woozy, her mind was spinning, getting dizzier by the second. "Hey... wait... please... no... I was wraaaawwwng... I... haaawww... heee... hawww..."
Monica blacked out, unknowing about the change that was about to happen.
