The ring started to dissolve, leaving purple dust floating around them each. After each of the rings had fully dissolved, the dust particles flew inside their ears and went into their brains.
“Aghhh!!” Shouted Matt,
“Ooww!!” Shouted Angela.
The pain died down but they still felt back, their heads felt heavy and they felt dizzy. They looked at each other and didn’t notice anything different. As they got closer to each other they noticed that their pupils had become the same purple as the dust.
Confused, Matt wondered if Angela knew what had happened. Just as he was going to ask, she lit up with the answer, “We’re the ring!!”
“How do you know??” Said Matt,
“I just know it, it just went into my mind,” Angela responded,
Just before they could work out what was happening their parents walked through the door. They looked at both the children on the floor. “I guess you two have had a fun day by yourselves,” their mother said as their father laughed lightly. Before they realised it they were eating dinner. Angela looked at her plate and thought to herself, “Wouldn’t it be great to have a really good meal, like something that would wow fancy restaurants,” as she looked down she saw the most beautiful sparkling steak with the best looking sides she’d ever seen. She looked up at her parents and they looked normal, no difference in their expressions as if they were eating the usual dinner, as did Matt.
The next day was school, Matt and Angela waited for the bus. Matt thought to himself, “Wow, wouldn’t it be great if the bus didn’t take 15 minutes to get here,” as he looked up he noticed the bus, it had arrived nearly 10 minutes early. They arrived at school and saw all the kids getting stuff out of their lockers and chatting. A group of girls talking about gossip always blocked the locker. She thought about it and they moved. A kid named Joe always popicked on the less popular or nerdy kids, as Joe approached Matt, he started backing away like he was never going to do it. The class started and it seemed a lot less boring than it did previous. They finished the day having a wonderful school day with no interruptions and everything went how they would have wanted it to, they even had fun lessons.
As they got home off the bus, which didn’t take any stops at any other bus stops, it just arrived directly in front of their house. As they exited they were greeted by their parents at the front door of their house. They entered and saw the beautiful dining expenses and living room, their bedrooms were great looking with the most confortable beds. The house was amazing, the best they’d ever seen. It was fantastic. They ate the most wonderful dinner and went back to their bedrooms, “What the hell made this happen, it’s great,” said Angela to herself,
“I absolutely love this,” said Matt to himself.
Suddenly, as they were so oblivious to it before, they said at basically the same time, “The ring!!”
