Jodie was quite fed up with the people luck had given her, she only liked John because he was kind and cared about others more than he did himself. Alex was quiet and hyperactive, Hannah was a good leader but very controlling. Jodie just tried to stay out of when Alex and Hannah would argue about what to do. John would usually defuse the situation. It had been about a month since the apocalypse started. They had moved to a city, the nearest one since they had found a car and luckily Alex was still alive. They were at that moment in a shopping centre, they met a few teens there. Since the murdering of monsters and the attractive kids being turned into more nerdy looking people, there were no attractive people left. They walked around, finding some food and drinks. They each had a bag that they would fill since they weren’t big fans of sharing each other’s things. They collected back at the car and got in. They drove to their home, which was basically the biggest house nearby, which was luckily in the same city. The city was fairly large, but luckily in terms of the apocalypse, it was small enough to travel easily. When they arrived they headed to their seperate rooms and did whatever they wanted to do.
The next day rolled by quickly, they headed for a bookstore to restock on reading material, and any other junk that they wanted to get. As they entered they split out on their own. Just as this happened, they heard a scream from the other side of he city. They all popped their heads up to see if it was nearby, but it wasn’t so they left it. They all put their books, various trinkets and objects in the trunk of the car. They began to drive off, midway to their destination Hannah’s arms began to stretch like spagetti. Her arms continued to grow longer and longer, becoming more and more string like. Her arms covered the front of the car, Alex couldn’t see too much but managed to see through the gaps that Hannah’s arms were making. Her legs then began to stretch just like her friends did. Her torso also began to stretch just before they arrived at the house. Jodie and John instantly pulled her out of the car and onto the front of the house. Her torso grew a lot upwards like the spaghetti arms and legs. Finally her neck grew upwards, it made her head end up in the road. John and Jodie had to get it back. It seemed that she’d stopped growing.
Jodie wiped sweat from her forehead from the pressure of keeping Hannah alive. Her body was spooled all over the place and it took about 15 minutes to get her inside the house. Jodie and John looked after her while Alex cleaned the car from the ridiculously strong smudges. The next 8 hours were quite painful, having to keep an eye on Hannah every second and feeding her, while having to feed themselves. Alex walked into the house and said, “Okay, the cars clean, is Hannah fine??” She looked at the spool of human anatomy. She walked to get her food when her hands began to feel stiff. It grew up her body, to her neck before she said anything, “Guys I’m changing—“ both John and Jodie ran over to see a mannequin with Alex’s hair and clothes. They moved her next to Hannah where she looked up and said, “So it’s not just me, it’s everyone, right??”
“We’re not sure yet, we aren’t even sure if you’re stuck like that forever,” said John,
“Well we’ll see in time,” said Jodie. They sat and spoke since Hannah couldn’t move a book with her hands.
Jodie and John had fallen asleep on the sofa where they were sitting, it was 5 hours later and they were awoken by Hannah poking them. She’d become normal after 12 hours, she’d been changed for an hour already. They looked and saw that Alex wasn’t fixed yet, she’d likely go back to normal in 3 hours.
