Kimi flicked the wand again, and instead of it fixing the previous change, the red ball appeared again and then struck her left hand. Her fingers began to extend forwards, gaining about 3 inches before becoming webbed and green. They became more stringy and less bony. She tried one more time to flick the wand and ended up doing the same as her previous attempts. The red light shot her on the butt. Her butt began to grow a long ginger tail, she’d grown a cats tail on her butt. She had a rabbits foot, a frogs hand, and a cats tail. Her response was somewhat frantic as she panicked about what to do. She concluded that the best person to talk to was the old man again. She snuck out her house through her bedroom window with a large jacket and boots on. She arrived at the mall just before it was closing, which was at midnight, and walked in. She instantly headed for the shop. She knocked on the door since it was locked. The old man walked up to the door and granted she’d to come in. He sat her down on a stool while he listened to her. Her problem was fixable and luckily since it wasn’t very powerful magic he hit his staff on the ground and the effects disappeared.
“Okay Kimi was it, it’s amazing that you were able to master a single spell with no knowledge of magic whatsoever. This is also pretty complex magic to do on a wand but not complex magic to do on a general staff like I have. I have a book on magic, but it’s only for staff magic. But I do have a book that came with the dropping off of that wand. I wasn’t able to open it but maybe you can do it.” He went into the back room and came out with an incredibly dusty book. He blew on the top of it and a lot of dust came off. Kimi went to touch it when the book suddenly flew open, lots of bright light emanating from it, lighting up the whole room. The books light subsided and in the pages was an infinite number of spells. Whatever she wanted was automatically shown on the book, it was under her command. The old man said, “You can have it, I need to free up space in the back here so it’s all yours to keep. I’ve got no use for it anyways. Be careful with that wand as well, it could be fatal if you’re not careful,”
“Thank you sir, I hope to see you soon,” said Kimi as she walked out the shop. But just then she noticed that the door to the Mall was closed, so she went back inside the old mans store and said, “I can’t leave, the doors locked,”
“Well I’ll help, where do you live??” Said the old man,
“Just a few blocks away from here,”
“So I can just take you outside and you’ll be safe, correct??”
“Yes.. sir,”
“Well then, we’ll take the fun way,” he grabbed her arm and hit the ground with his staff. The whole world began spinning until it was a small bubble in the middle. Then it grew a lot and appeared around them, but they were outside. Kimi was quite amazed by what had happened that she couldn’t speak, the old man did the same and disappeared inside a ball until it wasn’t there. She walked home and entered remembering that her mothers boyfriend and her mother didn’t know she was gone. She walked in as carefully as possible and went up the stairs into her bedroom.
She decided to try out a spell from th book but couldn’t decide what to do, the possibilities were limitless, but she wanted to test it on someone else first.
