Chaos would probably be the best term to describe the two weeks since Lynne's arrival. The three time traveling teens were slowly adjusting to life in 2018. As Lynne expected her parents weren't thrilled with the idea of her traveling backwards through time to give everyone a warning. While Merlin was able to discern that Lynne's actions did change the future, Lisa still put her youngest on lockdown for a week.
Tommy wasn't fairing much better as his parents now found themselves with a teenage son and a toddler. Kumiko was beside herself with anger that her son followed his girlfriend, instead of trying to talk her out of it. Now the boy found himself secretly living at their home as his parents tried to come up with a plan.
Tricia, while happy to be able bond with her parents, was having a rough go of things. Samantha and Mike still technically lived with their parents, meaning the teen had no where to go. Samantha and Mike, after telling their parents of the pregnancy, found themselves in a bit of trouble. Tricia found it odd that her parents were pratically grounded, a fact she jokingly pointed out to them both. "Yeah just wait til you get in trouble Tricia," Samantha grumbled. "Your father and I will make sure its the most severe grounding ever."
Until Mike and Samantha returned to college, Tricia found herself staying in Katie's home. Both her parents had no desire to reveal Samantha's magic or their time traveling daughter to their unsuspecting parents. As a result Tricia moped around the house, waiting for her parents or Lynne to come over.
With a week to go until Christmas Lisa and Jason found themselves preparing for what was going to be a odd family reunion. Lisa's parents would be coming down as well as Ann. While Gloria was anxiously anticipating her extended families arrival, the introduction of Lynne could prove problematic. Also the inclusion of Ann's friend Stephanie could lead to problems.
Gloria sighed as she watched the snow begin to fall. Ann and her grandparents would be arriving today and still no ine had any idea how to introduce Lynne to them. "Hey Glo," Lisa sighed. "How you feeling?"
Gloria smiled weakly at her exhausted mother. "I'm okay mom," she sighed. "How are you holding up?"
"Well," Lisa groaned. "I've just hit the oh so fun morning sickness part of pregnancy. Can't keep anything down, plus my jeans are getting tight so I've had to resort to stretchy pants."
"Sorry mom, guess things have been a bit nutty around here."
"Nutty is putting it lightly," Lisa grumbled. "I mean don't get me wrong Lynne seems like a sweet kid but...she has 14 years of memories with this family and I'm just getting to know her. I feel like I'm trying to play catch up."
"Well at least you two have alot in common mom," Gloria smiled, trying to sound hopeful.
"Too much in common," Lisa mumbled. "The girl reminds me of me at 14. Cocky, confident and stubborn. Im just thankful she has your dads temperment. Last thing I want is a fiery mini me running around with magic powers."
Gloria giggled, causing Lisa to smile. "Well hopefully its a nice quiet Christmas and grandma and grandpa like meeting her."
Lisa narrowed her eyes as she looked at her daughter. "Yeah I dont think quiet is something this family does very well," she said flatly. As she gazed out at the driveway she could see a car pull in. "Guess everyone is starting to show up," she breathed.
Lisa extended her hand to Gloria helping the teen to her feet. "Cmon Gloria kets go greet them," she smiled. "Hopefully things don't get too out of control."
