Stephanie looked over Jackie as she talked with Ann. Stephanie had to admit that Jackie was a very beautiful woman and Ann had talked about her a lot, but she never revealed too much about her, now was Stephanie's chance to find out exactly just who this Jackie woman was.
"So, Jackie, I wanted to ask you, how long have you and Ann known each other?" Stephanie asked.
Jackie was a little bit worried as she thought Stephanie would start asking her personal questions. Jackie took a deep breath and thought back to how young she and Ann had been the last time they....parted.
"We've known each other since we were 12 years old and we found out a lot about each other during that summer." Jackie answered as Ann gave a little smile while blushing a bit.
"I see, so what did you two used to do at that age? I mean, you must've some funny stories." Stephanie giggled.
"Well actually yeah, see just a few years later Ann would start to be a 'goth' girl." Jackie said not so secretly as Ann hit Jackie in the shoulder a little bit.
"Stop, you're embarrassing me in front of her." Ann giggled.
"Oh and how about when you got me into it?" Jackie reminded her.
"Come on, you loved and you thought you looked pretty. I bet all the guys wanted you." Ann joked.
"Oh yeah they wanted something, they wanted to scream and run away when they saw me in the school hallway." Jackie laughed as both Stephanie and Ann laughed along with her.
"So, what do you do for work?" Stephanie now asked making Jackie go quiet for a second.
"Work?"
"Yeah, you know, what do you do for a living?" Stephanie asked her catching her off guard as Jackie now thought about it for a moment almost too long.
"She doesn't like to admit it, but she works at the school my niece goes to. She has to work the desk job." Ann said covering for Jackie.
"Oh god, yeah, I bet that is an embarrassing thing to admit." Stephanie said sipping down her drink.
"Whoa, excuse me I've got to use the restroom." Stephanie said as she excused herself to the bathroom leaving Ann and Jackie alone.
"Thanks for covering me on that last one." Jackie thanked her friend.
"No problem, I know she can be a little bit nosy, but she is a nice person once you get to know her." Ann said.
"Yeah. But you know....I have missed you." Jackie said looking down at the floor before looking up at Ann.
"I've missed you too." Ann said.
"No, I mean, I've really missed you." Jackie said gently holding Ann's hand.
Ann wanted to say something but quickly took her hand away as she noticed Stephanie coming back.
"Later...when we're alone." Ann promised in a whisper to Jackie as the night went on.
