Lyle woke up. Saturday again. 11:00. Lyle felt around his whole body, checking to see if he still had anything bird-like about him. Nothing. He was back to being a human again. He got out of his bed, got dressed, all while he was eyeing the computer. Lyle was confused, as confused as anyone who suddenly changed into an ant and bird on the same day. He walked towards the computer, slightly nervous if the same thing was going to happen again, and began to turn it on. As the computer began to hum, Lyle turned away from the computer and looked at the digital clock on his table. 11:00 on the dot. Lyle wanted to test something out, he wanted to know if time was standing still. He waited for a minute, staring at the clock, not blinking for a second.
11:01.
Lyle turned back to the computer, relaxed by the fact that this wasn't some weird trip that he might of had, and looked at the screen.
"C IS FOR CAMEL"
Big mistake. Lyle felt his back push out something, and as he ran to his bathroom to look, he saw his back had created a singular camel hump. His skin was starting to itch as multiple beige-like hairs pushed out, becoming thicker and thicker. His hands and feet clumped up in small balls, until started to harden, becoming two toe-like hooves. His arms bend in the other direction, lengthening, becoming just like his feet. His ears started to shift up a bit, becoming rounded and hairy. His back couldn't handle having the hump, pushing him to the floor where he was stuck on all fours. His mouth and nose pushed out, combining into his new muzzle. All his hair pushed out, only to be replaced by more of the fur. His whole body started to distort until it was the perfect shape of a camel.
His dorm room started to fade away, as he just got a look of himself in the mirror. As it faded, a new location started to take it's place. The tiled floors became grainy golden sand. The singular light bulb became the glistening sun, beating down it's heat on Lyle's new form. The small cramped space became bigger and bigger, until it was just a blue sky. He knew where he was, he couldn't mistake it. Egypt. He was in Egypt. While that might of excited him, being somewhere else in the world, he didn't want to be in the body of a camel. Lyle still had his human mind and memories in tact, but new information as started to enter his mind. He knew now how to communicate to other camels, which was convenient as a couple of them were approaching him. As the camels were in ear-shot of him, he tried to explain that he was a human quite literally a minute ago. The camels thought that this camel was being stupid, a human suddenly becoming a camel was a ridiculous concept, and started to walk away from him. As Lyle had nothing to convince these camels, he just ended up following them.
This lasted the whole day. Lyle felt colder as the sun set behind two large pyramids, creating one of the largest shadows he had ever seen. Stars were starting to glow through the night sky. Lyle just felt tired and sleepy and ended up passing out on the sand, lying flat on the floors of the Egyptian deserts...
Lyle woke up. Saturday again. 11:00...
