Snapping out of her reverie, Ken remembered she still had a book report to finish, assuming her assignment hadn't drastically changed with reality. She looked over at her assignment she'd left on the desk and re-read it, and sure enough the assignment was about "the Dragon's body", but it was asking for a bit more technical details than were to be expected of an early teenager and wasn't just asking about one aspect of the body but multiple, it almost seemed like a university assignment.
He picked up the universe changing book and flipped through to the page describing herself to check her age; as expected, she turned out to be closer to 13,000 years old rather than 13... 13,526 years old to be exact.
With one suspicion confirmed, she double checked her name, apparently unchanged, before flipping to the section on the general school system, scanning for anything relevant.
"... Due to the long maturation of dragons and the protectiveness of their parents until they're fully developed, children can spend thousands of years being cared for under the protection of the school as if its an advanced day care. As a result the school system often ends up giving professional level skills across all doctrines to every student, which many students capitalize on with part time jobs."
She flipped back to her own entry just to make sure she didn't have a job herself that she needed to be at or anything, and was relieved to find she was currently free of that. Though she found herself quickly writing into her possessions notes that she had an up to date textbook on dragon biology appropriate for her current assignment, since she couldn't exactly cite a book about reality itself for her paper.
She then put the book away and sighed, resigning herself to her task; though she quickly perked up when she realized how different their body worked from normal creatures. There was an entire section detailing from what she could gather how her kind reproduced if they wanted to have a partner for it, detailing how if their laid eggs were inserted into a surrogate, the egg would fuse with one of the surrogate's own eggs to produce a child with two parents instead of just one. A thought that made her wonder how her own parents made her, were both involved or just one?
By the time she needed to go to bed, she'd only just started looking at the insanity of how magic flowed through her body, and how it related to their breath weapons to augment and alter the effects of organs that shouldn't be as potent as they were.
She yawned, and decided she wouldn't be able to get any more done that night, so she may as well ask for an extension. Before she knew it, she was already curled up in her bed, snuggling into it while her tail stuck out the end of the sheets.

The next morning she barely registered her morning routine after her alarm sounded, most of it was normal, and it seemed her body's muscle memory meant she didn't have any problems doing any of it. It wasn't until she was seated at breakfast shovelling down four raw eggs at once that she realized her mother was looking at her with a concerned expression.
"You're supposed to cook those... Are you feeling alright?" she said.
Ken stood taking in her mother's appearance, somehow knowing it was her mother; most of her body blue in various tones, light underside, dark blue hair, and a body colour closer to azure for her main body... Her eyes were a piercing gold in contrast.
Ken quickly shook away her fascination. "I'm fine, I'm just... Tired... The assignment was tougher than I thought it would be."
Her mother raised a single claw to adjust the knot of the cape like attachment to Ken's uniform, which Ken only now realized she had put on in a daze; making her blush.
Her mother just laughs. "Its always adorable seeing young girls like you get embarrassed for wearing something you find attractive."
"I'm just gonna go now..." Ken said.
Her mother smiled. "Here, allow me," she said, a bit of a glow surrounding her.
Before he understood what was happening, there was a flash of light; and as the after image cleared, she found herself in her homeroom class, about an hour early.
Looking around, she noticed a bored looking and dull rusty coloured dragon about twice her size sitting on her haunches behind a desk at the front of the class; she looked at Ken, and shrugged, raising one claw onto the desk, mumbling something about how back in her day teleportation spells weren't a thing before speaking up.
"So Ken, have you been a good girl and done your biology assignment?" the apparent homeroom teacher said.
"Some of it," Ken admitted, "I managed to cover much of the reproductive system... But I'm pretty sure I need to finish the magic network and the expulsive organs."
The homeroom teacher gave a smug look. "Good thing you have an hour before your first class starts. It should be at the end of the day for you, so you'll also have lunch time to do it, plus the class itself since it doesn't have to be in till the end of the class."
Ken sighed, sitting on her haunches behind a student desk to focus on her task until her first class...
