Emma was hanging out with her friend Naomi, they were both 24 years old and had been friends since college. They both sat on a bench in a park and talked for a while, before they knew it, the time had gone from 4pm to 6pm.
“Woah!! Look at the time, I’d better be heading home,” said Naomi,
“Oh yeah, me too,” said Emma,
They both walked to the main street, said their farewells, and began walking the opposite direction to each other.
Emma walked to the end of the street and was about to cross, Naomi was on the opposite end of the street.
They booth looked back and waved at each other and began to cross the street.
Emma made it to her apartment and was about to enter the building where it was. She was greeted by her neighbor Steve who was a good friend she’d known since she moved in. It was at the moment he greeted her, she felt off..
