“I don’t need that many!” Adam said angrily. “You’ll be fine!”
Adam smiled and his blue eyes flashed and the rock started to crack. Adam was suddenly blinded. He felt a sudden rush of wind and then suddenly he was sitting down.
“We’re almost there!” he heard someone shout. It was his father. He was in the family car. His mother was humming softly holding he map. They were on a main road now, no desert.
It was all a dream Adam thought. Heturned to his left and suddenly came face to face with Benjaman. Adam had to stifle a scream. Benjaman was sitting between him and his sister. His lower half was still missing and he was attached to the car itself.
Benjaman waved politely and smiled.
“What are you staring at?” came Liz’s voice from around the buff man. Suddenly a hand shot through Benjaman’s body and waved itself in front of his face. “Helloooooo? Anyone hooooommmee?”
Adam blinked and stared out the window. Soon they pulled up to a hotel in the mountains and the family unpacked. Adam feigned the need for a restroom and rushed inside.
He shoves the door open and went immediately to the sink, washing his hands and splashing himself with water, accidentally dozing himself with liquid. He looked up and fell over as he saw Benjaman perched on the sink of the restroom.
“Hey Adam!” Bejaman said enthusiastically. “Do you need any help with anything?”
“You creepy, creepy thing,” Adam said loudly. “Why do you follow me?”
“Too help!” Benjaman said no less deterred. “Do you need any help?”
“My clothes are soaked right now,” Adam said. “I could use some new ones. If you have any that is.”
There was a short flash of blue light from Benjaman’s eyes and Adam felt weird. He stood up to see him wearing a new set of clothes. A new shirt, new pants, even a new coat. He stared at Benjaman who waved politely. Another man walked in and Adam walked out quickly and stiffly.
“Can you carry this upstairs Adam?” Matt said nearly running into him. He handed him a large suitcase. “We’re already checked in. You ended up with a room to yourself, Liz, your mom, and I have the other room. Room 213 for you and this goes in 215.”
Matt handed his son two key cards and walked off back to the car. Adam walked up the stairs. At the landing, Benjaman had planted himself on a table as Adam walked by. Soon he came to the rooms and unlocked his parents’, and quickly shutting the door. He walked briskly to his door and opened it up.
There was a single bed, a desk, and a small table. Benjaman occupied the table, sitting in his cross armed state smiling at Adam and bowing.
“What can I help you with now?” he asked.
