After Tom had hung up the phone, Alice quickly dialed her father's phone number into her cell phone. She knew that even though her parents would obviously let her and Tom stay with them, it would be a bit rude to just show up there unannounced.
Holding the phone up to her ear, Alice waited patiently for someone on the other end to pick up when the phone started ringing. It didn't take too long, as after about 3 or 4 rings, the voice of Harold Stevens spoke.
"Hello?" he asked once he picked up the phone.
"Hi Dad," Alice said. "I'm sorry to bother you, but I need to ask a favor."
"Of course sweetie," Harold said. "What do you need?"
"Tom and I need to stay with you and mom for the week," she said. "Something came up that's made Tom really concerned for my safety."
"Oh God, what's happened?!" Harold exclaimed, instantly fearing the worst. "Is anyone hurt?"
"Dad, calm down! It's nothing like that," Alice exclaimed. "Tom ran into two werewolves from Moon Lake who threatened to hurt him if he didn't stop his plans for the big reveal of weres. He's afraid that they might go after me as well, so to keep us both safe, he wants us to stay somewhere where he knows we can be safe."
Harold calmed down a bit after hearing this. "Alright," he said. "How long until you and Tom will get here?"
"Tom's on his way home now," Alice informed. "We've got to get packed, and we might stop to grab a bite to eat from a drive-thru, so expect us to be there at about 7:00, okay?"
"Alright sweetie," Harold said. "I'll make sure your mother knows. Call us when you're on your way."
"I will dad," Alice said. "I love you."
"Love you too sweetie." Harold said before he hung up the phone.
