“Though I think you should take a look at yourself first,” Sam chuckled as brushed back the tuft of hair that resembled his human hairstyle with his paw.
“Sam, I just want to turn back, I don’t care to be a litterbox for that much longer,” I say as I try and violently shake my new body back and forth.
“Come on, I think you will find yourself amused,” Sam side as I could feel him push me to the dresser mirror on the other side of the room.
I tried thrashing about in this form but realized I would helpless to fight against Sam’s pushing. As he got me to the mirror I tired looking around but realized I could really only see facing upward. Sam used his paws to try and tilt the top of the mirror towards my range of view. What I saw surprised me.
In the reflection was a gray rectangular litterbox, filled with a tan bed of cat litter. In any other cause this wouldn’t be an odd sight but the fact I had to come to terms that this was my reflection caused me to give a little sigh.
As I did I noticed the clumps of little in the bed of my box body moved a bit. I tried expressing another emotion and it did so again. Then I realized it, an image of my face was reflected in the clumps and mounds of litter. And more disturbingly, the… remains Sam left inside me made up the features of my face. The moist areas of litter and other droppings formed what appeared to be my eyes, nose, mouth, and other features, yet in a strange way looked very much like my human appearance.
Though one would have to look to noticed, anyone passing by might be able to make out this facial reflection in the bed of litter though would probably think it was an odd quirk. I continued studying my reflection until swatted his paw in my litter which caused the expression I made to fall apart.
“Hey quit it,” I shouted as I tried to recollect myself.
“I think it’s funny to see your face like this,” Sam smirked with his cat face. “I only wished I could operate my phone so I could take a picture of this and send it to my friends.”
“Don’t you dare,” I sternly stated, “it’s already bad enough you had to use me.”
Sam smirked again and tired swapping at my face again as I changed the litter around to make a serious face.
“Okay, enough fun,” I said to Sam, “turn me back and I will figure out how to fix…”
Before I could continue I heard the front door open.
“Yo, dad you here?” A voice said coming from the door.
“Who is tha…” I began to say as Sam shushed me.
“It’s the son of the landlord,” Sam whispered.
“Dad, I was wondering if I could have some college friends over for the night,” the voice continued. “Oh, when did we allow cats here?”
I could only see Sam walkover me as he did his best to appear to be a normal cat, giving out a slight meow.
“Hey there little guy,” I heard as I saw the landlord’s son come into view.
He was a lanky guy with a childlike face, some light covering of freckles, with shaggy surfer looking hair. He reached down to pet Sam who was standing near me as I tried my best to also remain still. Whatever expression I was wearing at the moment I tried very hard to keep, didn’t want to freak the landlord’s son out and have to explain my embarrassing situation.
Then he looked directly at me, “oh what’s this.” The guy said as he poked my face. “Cute, looks like the business the cat left made what looks like a surprised face.” He then took out his phone then there was a bright flash that nearly caused me to blink. He took a picture of me!
“That’s awesome, posting this on Twitter,” he said with a chuckle as he slid his phone back into his pocket. He then leaned down and grabbed my sides as gave me a gentle shake. He then picked me up.
Where is he taking me, I worried as I stared directly at his chin. If he dumps out my contains what happens to me? I heard Sam meowing a bit in worry.
Luckily the guy just setted me outside the front door before he went back inside to look for his father. I then saw Sam’s cat face looking down at me.
“Well, you aren’t going to like this, that guy took the keys.”
