You and your family have unfortunately been burdened recently with the loss of your grandmother. She was very old, older than many of you in the family may have guessed, and quite ill. In the following days of her passing you and several other members of the family were tasked with cleaning out her forgotten home and organizing what belongings she had left. Many of you didn't know what to do with it all, she had so much stuff! After a long and expansive, thorough cleaning of the home you all agree to call it quits for the night. That is until something catches your eye on the way out. A small brass ring laise on the corner table with a small note resting next to it. You think this is strange because you could've sworn you didn't see it there on your way in. But you decide to pick up the note anyways. It reads:
"My sweet grandson, we gain great knowledge in stepping into another's shoes and thus learn the importance of compassion and understanding.....use it well my boy."
You smile at the provocation your grandmother left behind for you, those are wise words. The ring is simple yet ornate and there's something about it that is awfully appealing. You pick up the ring and slip it on.
