Sara was suprised to hear her name of all things as she unintentionally spied of Vect. Sara had caught herself stealing glances at her friend more than once and had felt something there she had not felt before. When she was around him, she felt different, like a void was filled. She slipped away as fast and quietly as she could to be alone with her thoughts. 'He's my friend and he's engaged to someone else. I can't be......,' Sara had difficulty bringing herself to even think the word to herself, let alone say it. 'It could be something else he said. Yeah, that's it, maybe a moan or a name similar to her name.' Sara tried to think of excuses to dismiss what she thought she heard and found a secluded spot to take care of her own erection and tried to get Vect out of her mind as she went through the motions. Though, no matter how hard she tried, his face would reappear soon afterward. Finished, Sara headed back to camp to prepare for the day.
All the group set out a little after dawn tracking down supplies and tools to make for their trial, Jack had seemed to embrace the part about them being forced to have no clothing. Not even the cold was seeming to affect him, whereas the others were still trying at times to cover up or at least hide their telltale sign of arousal. The cold did not help matters as ever since the trial began, their nipples were constantly hard, making them even more aware of each other.
Lelu revealed that on the trip to the BTC, she had written in her survival book spells she had thought might come in handy for the specific task on each page. The torch spell was written on the making fire page, and a basic tracking spell was jotted down on the hunting pages and so on, and so on. "You sly dog," praised Jack putting an arm around her, "Now we have both a spell book and a survival guide."
"It wasn't on purpose," responded Lelu shyly, trying not to blush as she was getting a little hot by Jack's nude body in such close proximity to her own.
"Ok what should we do first," asked Jack looking to his compatriots.
"Well, I have a bow but no arrows, and we have no true weapons for hunting besides a dagger, so try to sharpen rocks into primitive knives and arrowheads," suggested Vect uncertainty. The river might be a good start."
They found some smooth stones in the river and spent the majority of the day using larger stones to sharpen them into points.
"Great we have 14 arrow or spear points, and maybe these 2 larger ones can be made into knives. I hope," said Jack holding up 2 larger sized stones. "Oops," Vect's eyes widened.
"What oops? I don't like oops."
"I have nothing to the them to the shafts I've made," Vect motioned the bundle of small and large wooden shafts he was working on.
"Limb rope," chimed in Lelu.
"What?"
"We'll tear the limbs from the living trees into thinner strands and use them to tie the heads to the shafts."
"The sad part is we all should have remembered that from reading our own books. Good thing Lelu has a good memory," spoke Sara as she began to tear off a low hanging limb.
As the sun set, the group returned to their camp with 5 spears, 2 knives, and 9 arrows. "These 'arrows' won't do us much good without some fletching on them," said Vect as he examined the arrows at the camp fire.
"At lease we have a new task planned for tomorrow," said Jack as he settled in.
They slowly drifted off to sleep despite the cold night air.
