A recent acquaintence on the Ferry boat to David, Jeff, and Ben, was there new friend Ken. As they discovered all four were from the same town if only living all in different directions. As ken stood by watching his was not the wish to enter some sleeze bar with half naked dancers dressed like animal women. Instead Ken was looking to be a big winner at the Casino.
To the left of the Pleasure Island's infamous Club and Bar was a hallway lined in red felt and carpeted in red carpet. At the end of the hall was four large French doors having multi numbes of windows all in different shapes and each a separate color of bevelled glass.
As Ken entered the great doors he was greeted by the Hostess. A pretty lady not like those crude animal women back at the bar but instead a well dressed woman, elegant in style and stance.
Asked what his interests of gaming might be she would point him the the right direction. Crap tables to the left, Blackjack behind them, A Roulette wheels to the right starting with small wagers up front and going ever higher to the far back of the casino. Rows of slot machines stood directly before him all surrounding a larger than life machine standing in the center of all the smaller ones. A separate and narrow hallway behind the Roulette wheels offered private rooms for playing poker. Low stakes or high stakes Ken had his choice to be sure.
A simple thank you to the Hostess and Ken stepped up to the Cashier's window to redeem his money for chips. $5,000. dollars to start with his final limit for play of fifteen thousand was all he wanted to afford. Young as he was being just twentyone last May his Daddy was a rich man granting his only Son the plenty of his gross wealth.
Standing at the Crap table he watched for a few minutes till the Gamer asked him to play or step away for others to have a chance. He smiled at the man dressed in a red and white striped shirt and black trousers. Then pulling out his wager he took hold of the dice and rattled them and let them roll across the table.
Seven, his lucky number and a winner. So it went for his first hour as his $5,000. went ever higher till he was standing behind a pile of chips worth $110,000. A massive crowd was standing there watching drawing many away from other tables. Even a Security man stepped up and examined the dice to see if per chance Ken had exchanged them with some loaded to make him a constant winner.
Twice the Security man took away the dice and gave Ken new ones to play the game. Each time he took the dice and asked a pretty lady to blow on them making the dice hot with luck.
At last he'd won so much the House Gamer came over and asked him to move to something of higher stakes which might offer him a better challange.
Ken agreed but not before giving each of those two ladies who warmed the cold dice with their loving and lucky breath a sum on $10,000, in chips.
Suddenly taking hold of Ken's left arm was a slinky Blonde haired woman dressed in a Zebra skinned dress tigher than tight making him think of those stupid animal women next door.
The Blonde was obviously of a mind to push Ken toward the big Slot machine in the middle of the floor. Yet Ken being of reasonable size won the push and headed for a Roulette table.
Ordering them both drinks the Blonde lady continued to hang on Ken's arm as he watched the Gamer spin the wheel and the white marble bounce till it found a home. Spin after spin ken watched the wheel go till when again asked of him to play or walk away he smiled and asked for the Head Gamer to come over to the table.
Two armed security men and the Man dressed all in black suit and black shirt with a bright white tie stepped over to the table.
Ken looked at the man and then to each of the armed and stern looking men waiting for Ken to make the wrong move.
Without a word Ken reached over to the Roulette wheel picking up the little marble between two fingertips. He held the marble up before the Head man and asked him to roll the marble across the betting table's surface.
A Security man took the white marble and did as Ken asked while now many people looked on the happenings with interest. The Betting table make of rich Cherrywood was flat as flat could be! As the Guard rolled the marble it lobed side to side telling of some heavy metal inside and a game table fixed for player to lose.
Quickly and with some arguement the table's Gamer was rushed away by the Security men as the head man stood there tossing the white marble in the air, catching it as it went this way and that.
Asked if Ken was a professional in the realm of gambling he denied the thought knowing he'd be thrown out, his winnings taken, and maybe dragged into an alley for one tough beating as well.
In fact his Father had long since warned his son of those things which could change one's luck when playing the games at a casino. He was reminded many a time that people lose much more than is ever won since those who own the casino are by the ownership very rich men!
The Roulette table was closed and again the Blonde urged Ken to play the big slot machine.
