Leaving is what the group wanted to do, but this did not happen the way they intended it to.
Instead of simply walking away from the school, none of the boys moved at all--except down to the ground. A strange mist had surrounded them, and everyone nearby. Each and every head fell asleep, which allowed the shadowy figure who had spread the mist to take the Ryans, the Bradleys, the Dereks, Eli, Terry, Dylan, and the Thatchers into the back of a van. The figure placed sunglasses over all their eyes, and tied up their hands and legs. Then, the figure drove off, leaving the school and thus taking the teens against their will to an unknown destination.
When Ryan and Bradley opened their eyes, they were confused and surprised. They were in a dark room, all the windows covered with heavy salmon drapes. A fire was blazing in the marble fireplace, and the large sliding doors were nearly shut--the crack between them revealed that the room was a dining room. Suddenly, the door to the hall swung open, and both Ryans and both Bradleys nearly jumped up in surprise from the sofa--nearly, because they were still bound. The figure they had briefly seen at the school had come into the room, still covered in a dark cloak. The contours of the hood suggested that there were two heads underneath, but it was too dark to see anything under the hood, even with the fire. Looking around the room, the boys suddenly noticed that their brothers--from NormVerse and ConjoinVerse--were nowhere to be seen.
"Where are our brothers?!" the four heads shouted.
"They're in another room in the house," replied one of the shadowed heads. The voice sounded strange, and for a brief moment it sounded familiar.
"For now, we would like to talk to you four," said the other. Who was under that cloak?
"We were wondering how you have four heads now," said the first head.
"It's kinda hard to explain," started ConjoinVerse Ryan.
"Wait, did you say 'now'?" interrupted ConjoinVerse Bradley.
The two heads did not answer, but simply kept on talking. They seemed curious, upset, and sinister all at once. But fortunately, they had assumed that ConjoinVerse Ryan and Bradley had simply grown two extra heads and that their body had widened. As a result, they had only tied up the two visible arms--NormVerse Ryan's left arm and NormVerse Bradley's right arm. This left four other arms concealed beneath the shirt, and four legs hidden beneath the pants and shoes. As the ConjoinVerse Ryan and Bradley continued talking with the shadowy figure, the Normies quietly stuck their free hands out from the back of the shirt. After feeling the rope for a while, they managed to begin undoing the knots.
But time was running out: the shadowed heads were losing patience, and demanding answers now. With just one knot left, Ryan and Bradley were beginning to worry. The figure seemed to take notice of this, as they began questioning the Normies about their four-headed situation. As they talked, Ryan and Bradley successfully undid the last knot, waited until the figure had relaxed...and then the four lunged forward, tackling the figure to the ground. It fought hard, but the boys stuck all six of their arms out from under their shared shirt to fight back. Resorting to drastic measures, they gently choked the two heads by grabbing their necks--not so hard that they would suffocate, but just enough for them to lose consciousness.
As soon the two passed out, the Ryans and Bradleys relaxed. They wanted to look for their brothers, but first they decided to find out who had kidnapped them. Reaching for the cloak, they unbuttoned and removed the cloak from the figure revealing...
