While there wasn't too much going on in September, the September Issue of Animalia Magazine was making the most of how the Fall Equinox was the start of the "Dying Days of Summer" with many ways to prepare for fall, as well as why people hated it.

The Fall Couple was Leo and Corona, due in no small part to their successful "couple's therapy". While the homophobes in congress, alongside those who more concerned about the war on drugs, had unintentionally killed a bill to control Animalia, there still was a debate about how to do a better job (not to mention budget) on it.
In a historic first (at least in relation to Animalia), Congress passed a bill approving funding for a program using the Animalia Virus for use in "detoxing" long-term drug addicts. While the president had vetoed it (with a rumor that he did it in retaliation for having his bill killed), congress had just enough votes to override the veto "by a single vote", so to speak. It would later be considered one of the great political "ironies of fate". One more thing that was in the bill, besides the allowance of the use of the Virus for drug addicts, was the approval of allowing Animalians, whether uplifted or converted, into the DEA.

Aside from that political news, there was the standard health and fitness articles with names like "How to manage your winter weight... before winter" and "Brumination Preparation". There were also famous fall recipes, including "substitutions" on how to make them Animalian-safe.
There were also many myths and misconceptions about fall and winter and the animal kingdoms. For one, there was a myth that was debunked on how fall was considered the "dying time" for many insects. Some insects, in fact, were perfectly capable of surviving winter in many ways. One "famous" example was the New Zealand Weta.

The relatively newest part of Animalia Magazine was known as Colonial News, which not only covered news from the established colonies, but also covered locations for future colonies. While the Animalia Colony in Australia was one of the most well known, and also well known as the "weirdest," due in no small part to the number of unusual creatures, the newest "Asian" colony generated a lot of confusion and controversy, due in no small part to it being recorded in ancient maps, but not in modern ones. This was easily explained after sifting through the WWII era Japanese records. The reason for it being "pulled" from the maps was because it simply wasn't able to support a WWII Japanese military base.
It had been "scouted" by Daniel and Mandy during their colony tour/honeymoon, and there was some general facts that were now down. It was determined to be part of the "Pacific Ring of Fire", which not only showed why there was an island in that area, but also explained why there was a hot spring there, which seemed to validate a "medieval" hot springs inn. There was also enough Asian farmland for a self-sufficient agriculture, as well as some modern tourist features.
Due in no small part that China and Japan had "borrowed" culture from each other over the centuries, there were some features from both countries when their culture was at their height on the island, which explained why, at least to the blueprints of the colony, why there was a Chinese Martial Arts monastery AND a genuine Japanese "ninja house". It was both of those features that also included debunking a lot of ninja and martial artist myths, both in the colony and the magazine.

There was also an article that talked about the upcoming Spookyville event in Animalia, and what was going to be there. Due in no small part to both the popularity of the last two "Spookyvilles", it was decided to add three more days to the beginning of the Spookyville celebration, as well as adding on features from Halloween Town, both from the Disney movies of the same name and The Nightmare Before Christmas. There were also reports of people from Six Flags helping with the development, as well as professional make up artists working on the creatures/inhabitants.
