Gabriela stared at Edwin, her eyes challenging him to admit he was lying, which kinda made Edwin feel nervous. She then turned away, looking towards the school, deep in thought as she began to fiddle with her hair, twirling the brown strands between her thumb and index finger.
Edwin blushed a bit, as he realized he was finding her kinda cute. His mind thought for a second about what she'd look like in high school, but he quickly shook that thought aside, as Gabriela turned back to him.
"Okay, I believe you." She said, much to Edwin's relief, although her eyes still contained some anger.
"Really?" Edwin asked, confused with her reasoning. Sure, he had wanted her to believe him, but this seemed too easy. "What makes you say that?"
"In all my years of teaching you, whether those memories were real or not, you've never lied before." Gabriela stated in a tone that was much too mature for her age. "I'll simply believe you."
"Well, I'm glad you've decided that..." Edwin said, thinking of the possible outcomes from this situation.
"Yes," Gabriela said, her eyes taking on a curious look. "Well, could you...."
