Before Rick could even process what he heard he was taken back from the flash of the camera. Upon looking down, he quickly realized that Emily had returned him to normal. He felt around just to check and he confirmed that he was fine. Rick went to thank Emily but was taken aback by her face. She looked terrified.
“Babe. Are you okay?” Rick gently asked.
Emily didn’t look at Rick for a few seconds before glancing up.
“Rick. We have to hide this thing. If this falls into the wrong hands the entire world could change. I could have literally flicked a switch and reality would have always remembered you as a woman. This needs to be a secret.”
Rick agreed. “Yeah okay. But where do we hide it?”
“We’ll keep it between us. We hide it in our rooms this summer and we’ll hide it deep in our bins at college. This can’t leave our proximity okay?”
“Right. I gotcha Emily.”
The two got into their car and drive to Emily’s house. Their they hid it deep under her bed. But the camera never stays hidden for long.
