After a short but uncomfortable bus ride, throughout which James had felt sure everyone had been staring at him and his increasingly simian friend, Nicola practically jumped out of her seat to ring the bell.
"I just want to make a quick stop at the -ook ook eek - shop" Nicola explained before scampiring into the supermarket on the corner of her street. James wasn't sure what to do next as he waited for her. It was obvious to him the curse was turning Nicola into a monkey, but it sounded so crazy to say out loud and she didn't want to hear it anyway. James wasn't sure if that was down to the effect of the spell on Nicola's mind or her usual stubbornness.
His train of thought was quickly brought to a halt as Nicola emerged from the store with what looked like to him like two full bags of...
"Why do you need so many bananas?" James asked in astonishment "I've never even seen you eat one before. Do you really not see what is happening here?"
"Thry're good for you" Nicola shrugged "Now stop being annoying and lets head back to mine"
James was relieved on arrival that none of Nicola's roommates were around that day. He wouldn't know how to explain her behaviour to them.
"Ok, I'm just going to get out of these -ook ah -clothes. They feel so uncomfortable" Nicola announced as she bounded upstairs. James tried to find enough bowls to arrange the newly purchased fruit into while he waited and was part way through doing so when he heard a familar voice behind him.
"Ah, thats better Eek Eek!"
James turned round to see a stark naked Nicola walking casually into the kitchen. Her beautiful curvacious body hadn't been damaged much by the curse yet it seemed. James' crush had decided to hang out with him without any of her clothes and, as much as this was the stuff of dreams, it was also alarmingly wrong.
"What's up?" Nicola seemed completely at ease with her sudden nudity "Stop looking at me like that and pass me a banana will you? Eek Eek!"
