The questions just kept coming. In the end Nathan finally held his hands up, a signal for Laura to stop.
"Sorry Laura," Nathan said. "I'm really not in the mood right now. I'm just gonna chill in my room for a bit."
Realizing her own quirkiness was getting to her flatmate again, Laura gave up.
"Alright," she replied. "I'll cook the dinner tonight. You take go take it easy or something. Oh ... and one more thing."
Nathan looked back before heading into his room.
"Sorry for being a pest."
Laura's apology brought a smile back on Nathan's face as he closed the bedroom door behind him. At first, Nathan dreaded the absolute worst reaction from his flatmate. But looking back on it, things could have been a lot worse. Naturally he was dreading the thought of being treated like a girl by Laura. But at least she promised not to tell anyone about this whole situation.
