(AN: and since I see this is the PG 13 section
I'll draw my inspiration from a childrens picture book called
Dove Isabeau written around 1989
So that would mean the dragoness is a pear shaped beastie with red and white and black colouration
and a long snout and bird like raptor legs)
The rest of the trip to her cave, your conversation with her and your return trip to your parents cottage was a haze.
The dragoness had muttered some black spell, clothed you in many furs to cover
you up and protect you from the bitterly
biting cold winds.
You yourself had been unawares of what she'd done to you since your mind was all
fogged up and slow thinking but it was uncomfortable being all cramped and squished up in the tight furs that
covered you up
including your legs and feet.
Luckily for you your father the failed squire
had a hint something like this might happen and so had
bundled all the rest of his family and the relatives
into another room before barring its door with a sturdy piece of oak.
He then slid his sword under that door and faced you unarmed.
Whatever solution the dragoness had provided was better then the current situation
starvation and death for him and his family.
So you banged against the cottage door and your father
opened it and you flopped
in and sprawled motionless on the cottages
dirt floor
still bundled up in furs encrusted in snow and ice.
Your father gently peeled away the furs starting with your hind feet
and as the furs peeled away
your long red scaled taloned toes
were revealed.
Clearly you weren't human any more.
However your father hadn't entered Squire School
just on his brawn
brains and bravery had also helped
So he continued peeling away those furs
which revealed a bit at a time your long tail
your pear shaped torso
your taloned forefeet
your long neck and nearly as
long dragons snout
Simply put the dragoness had turned you into a younger child version of herself
and expected you and your family to figure out how to play
the new deck of cards she had dealt
with this
"gift" to you
