Olivia decided to take a picture of her mother, Emily. She was always a little uptight and Olivia figured she was probably yelling at Rick before for something he didn't do. "If the camera's silly face feature works, then Mom might lighten up." Olivia naively thought.
Over by the table, Rick was making sure to do an excellent job cleaning up the table. He really needed to get Mrs. Smith's good side fast. Not only because he was dating her daughter, Olivia, but he also really felt something needed to be done about the camera. Rick felt that they couldn't just leave a reality altering device just lying around. "Even if it was hidden, some idiot could get a hold of it." Rick thought. "We should use it for good before we lose it or it gets used in a way we didn't intend for."
Emily, meanwhile, was equally frustrated. She just wanted to keep this device out of everyone's hands. It was far too powerful and this young man was being unreasonable. They just needed to hide it forever. That when Rick said something, in a bit of a whisper.
"Mrs. Smith can we at least tell your daughter?" Rick pleaded.
Mrs. Smith looked enraged. "Absolutely no-aybe we should tell her bro. It might be for the best." Said Emile. The two buds had been talking about telling Emile's twin sister Olivia for a while now but they couldn't agree. Rick brought up some good points so Emile was starting to open up about it.
"So... could I maybe have a date with her then?" Rick jokingly asked.
"Absolutely not. She's too naive and cute to go out with your dumb ass." Emile exclaimed.
Rick smirked as he had always thought Olivia was cute, but her brother, his best friend, would never allow it. Rick usually didn't press too hard though as he got it. They only had their father Paul, and their mother died years before. He knew they went through some problems when they were younger so he never pushed.
As they were talking, Olivia walked over with a cute but frustrated look on her face. Emile and Rick froze as they saw her holding the camera. They both slowly looked up in a cautious pose.
"Hey sis." Emile said. "Whatcha got there?"
Olivia frustratingly told them about how this stupid old camera wouldn't work. She was about to press something and both boys braced for something...
