"Ok, lets just get this over with and get out of here" Nicola instructed James as she handed him the first thing that came to hand, a wizards cloak, beard and hat. She then picked out the next item, a furry brown zip up dog costume for herself.
"You sure you want that one?" James asked with surprise at her choice.
"I said I wanted this over with quickly" Nicola snapped back "Now stop asking pointless questions and go get changed."
A few minuted later James stepped out of the changing room, feeling like an idiot but at least content this was a fairly painless way to pay Meredith back for her broken goods. The costume felt surprisingly comfortable on him. It fitted as perfectly as if it had been made to measure and the beard almost seemed to have attached itself to his face.
After a few moments admiring his reflection James saw an awkward figure shuffle sheepishly out of the other changing room. James couldn't believe that Nicola had actually put on the dog costume.
"You'd better not say anything" she threatened, but she looked too cute for her words to carry any weight.
"Well this was all pointless" Nicola told Meredith" I hope you got you enjoyed seeing us dress up as our debt is fully paid. Now, I'm just going to ruff! get changed back into my ruff! ruff! ruff!"
Nicola then got down on all fours as she carried on barking at Meredith. James was stunned to see her role playing like this, but he was even more shocked as his friend quickly morphed into an actual dog.
"Holy shit!" James shouted in disbelief as he looked down at the brown labrador "What? How?!"
"They are magic costumes" Meredith chuckled "What did you think they would do?"
"So my friend is an actual dog now?" James still seemed to barely believe the reality his own eyes was showing him.
"It seems so" Meredith shrugged "But aren't you more interested in the fact you are sn actual wizard now?"
