Now that he knew the Entities were right and he had indeed the power to turn into any animal or insect, Pete decided to simply enjoy his new body. It was an interesting fit as he realized when he started to hop around, and his body was much more comfortable than he expected. Pete hopped out of the bathroom and headed to the stairs. He was anxious when he saw all those steps; Pete inflated with courage and jumped the first step. He landed perfectly nearby the step's board. Pete hopped all the steps and finally reached his entrance hall. He stood there, unable to pant but fatigued...it had cost him more than five minutes to get down fifteen steps.
He hopped to his living room where his TV was on and blabbing a series. He was getting better and better at hopping. Pete jumped to the other part of the living room and stood in front of the glass doors. He saw himself as a frog and smiled mentally. From there he saw his backyard: a tree at the end of his property casting shade over a small pond that always formed in the winter and spring season. The problem however - the door was closed.
"The doggy door", he thought to himself and with a loud croaking sound he jumped towards the kitchen. His backdoor also acceded the backyard. Pete stood in front of the thick plastic, closed his eyes and hopped against it. The collision wasn't as hard as he expected but he still didn't push through and rather slid across the plastic ending on the floor.
He was finally outdoors though.
