"Yes, you do," Abraham answered.
The twelve teens would have fallen down if they weren't already sitting on the cave floor. Abraham's response to his son's question was overwhelming: the teens had the same abilities of their dragon fathers, and their parents before them.
"Are you sure?" asked Justin. "None of us have known anything about anything like that, or we would have told each other."
"But we have seen them," Gabriel explained. "Sometimes at night, I would sense my sons changing, as though they were themselves and something else at the same time, if not completely something else."
"You mean that we've been transforming in our sleep?!" Leo exclaimed.
"Sometimes I've even seen you boys get up to use the bathroom at night," Gabriel continued, "and sometimes your limbs and/or torsos looked different, like you're minotaurs or snake-people or something."
"I remember some of those," said Ethan. "We thought those were just dreams or something."
"And when we were younger, Dad, you told us in the mornings that they WERE just dreams," Scott told his father.
"Well, now we know the truth," said Leo.
"But what about complete changes?" Tyler asked. "Have any of us transformed completely into anything? Not just dragons?"
"Not that I've seen," John replied to his son. The other dragons agreed.
"Well, it can't hurt to try," said Kyle. "Who's going first?"
"What?" Peter asked.
"We were each able to transform in our sleep, and we've all talked about that when we thought they were dreams," Kyle explained. "That proves that we clearly have the ability, only this time we'll be doing it consciously."
"Or, rather, TRYING to," Diana corrected her brother.
"Besides, how do we know if we can do it completely?" Matthew added.
"We can't know until we try," Kyle replied, "so which of us is going first?"
The twelve looked around at each other, as if they were all expecting someone else to volunteer instead of them. The five adult dragons simply watched, wondering if their children really could pull it off. After a few seconds, some of the teens were starting to get a little frustrated.
"Oh, whatever--I'll do it!" Dustin shouted.
"Wait, what about me?" Justin asked.
"Well, since we're twins we could try it together," Dustin suggested.
With that, the two took a deep breath and began to concentrate. Their ten friends and the five dragons moved back to give them some room. The two brother focused with all their might, and focused on letting it out with all their might. Black tails began to grow from the backs of their pants, their nails turned into claws, and their hands and feet began to change into black scales. As the scales continued to spread, their torsos began to grow longer. The two also wished away their clothes as well--it seemed a bit silly to wear them like this, and their was nothing that truly needed to be be covered anymore thanks to their wish. As the scales continued to reshape and recolor the pair, their underbellies turned a golden yellow. The scales then reached their necks, and as their faces become covered in black scales, their jaws and noses began to grow out, and their hair began to change color as spines grew in a straight line down their necks and backs. When the transformations were finished, Dustin and Justin had transformed into two long, black dragons--the only difference was the color of their hair and spines--gold for Dustin, silver for Justin.
"Woah!" Peter said surprised.
"That's amazing!" Rachel smiled.
"Lookin' good, bro!" Justin said to Dustin.
"Likewise," Dustin replied.
"I'm proud of you, boys," Joseph interrupted. "To think that my sons are dragons like me, it just..."
"It's okay, Joseph," said Abraham. "It is a strange feeling."
As amazing as it was, the ten other teens wanted to see if they could do the same.
