Monday was the first of October this year, so the majority of the plans for Spookyville began moving forward. Most of them were involving the "sets" for the major parts of Spookyville getting put together. While some of them were from set designers from known studios, or college students from either Art or Science Colleges, there were some from the Six Flags Theme Parks. This was because there were reports about Animalia's Events giving them inferiority complexes, but whether that was true or not, they had decided to help out with Spookyville.

One thing that was decided was a costume contest. This got a massive response for it on the website. But because of some of the requests on the website, it was decided to separate the contest into several divisions, most notably the "young children's division" and the "Adult Division". This was deemed necessary because they wanted at least one contest to be family friendly.

The new dentist office, specific for carnivorous Animalians, came up with a really creative way of teaching good tooth care. They were sponsoring a bobbing for apples contest, with sugar-free candy as the prizes. When questioned about it, one of the dentists working there gave a really clever answer.
"It's kind of a way of teaching good tooth care, as well as good health habits," he told the reporter, "I have a friend who's an animal psychologist, and he calls this kind of thing 'positive reinforcement'."

During the entirety of the preparation for Spookyville and Halloween, there were several bake sales going on, ranging from pies, to baked goods like popcorn balls, and similar goods. One thing that was strictly reinforced was that there were no chocolate, or ingredients with artificial additives, in the dishes to keep them Animalian safe. One such dish that was quite popular was pumpkin caramel cheesecake.

Fall was also the time when many mushrooms began growing in the woods. One of the problems with them was that, while several species of wild mushrooms were safe to eat, a lot more of them were either poisonous or hallucinogenic. Because of this, a new horticulturalist mushroom guide was published. This was partially intended to keep people from killing themselves from eating the wrong mushroom, or from going on "trips", because there were reports of people using mushrooms as "marijuana alternatives".

There was also plans for the GGAC to organize a "rescue" of "victims" from the "cannibal mole mutants". While it was similar to last year's abduction of Jeremy, there were several differences. First of all, it wasn't taking place in the sewers, but in a special "cavern complex" that was put in the new "modular dungeon" that now belonged to the GGAC. Second, it would be similar to the plot of "Boom boom, out goes the Ed", but there were also plans to include features from several popular "underground horror" films.

The Foreign Affairs office was also getting into the spirit of Halloween by organizing a display of "spirits and demons" from around the world. It was something to see that vampires in the West were very different from the East and vice versa. There was also a month long "assignment" for making up ghost stories, with a "candy cauldron" for the winner of the most well written.
