The artifact that was keeping Danny's memories in tact finally snapped. Reality itself had changed so many times that it was not able to keep up. Danny was too different and the device had changed hands so many times that trying to alter reality to fit who had it and why was too much, even for an artifact of the bureau.

It was hard with so many people but eventually she found a good section with only a few families and couples.
