Ian returned from work very tired and hungry, as always. His parents were away for a trip and now he had to take care of his strange little sister, Lorna. Even though she was not exactly a child anymore, the odd girl only seemed to care about fairytales and strange legends.
"Sister! I am at home!" Ian said, entering the house.
Lorna did not answer. So, Ian simply came into the kitchen and turned on the lights. Ian stepped over a strange paper that someone had left on the floor. It had what seemed to be a strange runic symbol written on it. Ian took the paper with a visibly annoyed face. On the table sat the favorite book of his sister, filled with similar strange drawings and symbols.
"Lorna! Again with this nonsense of yours!" he shouted, hoping to be heard by his sister. "You should study more and forget about all of this stuff so you can get a better job than mine - one that does not bring you home exhausted and hungry!"
Ian put the page near the book. The runic symbol featured some kind of animal. He did not notice the strange green glow that appeared on his hand and on the sheet of paper.
Ian opened the fridge and considered his options. He had vegetables, some cans of food and…meat. He did not know why but he wanted to eat that big steak he had in the fridge. A big piece of crude beef. Almost driven by a instinct, Ian took the piece of meat…
But Ian stopped when his eyes saw something strange....
