Ty used his power to make the following wish: "I wish that my foster family loved me as much as I do."
It sounded a bit narcissistic, but Ty figured that it was the best way for his foster parents and foster brother to actually care about him--even their dog Hunter liked Dustin more than Ty. Ty also wished that his foster family would think that this is how they had always been, and that their memories of the last four years--since Ty first moved in--were altered as such.
Ty opened his eyes and saw that his room had changed. His small TV was now larger, and his furniture looked like it was new, not some old antiques or hand-me-downs that were broken or dusty.
Dustin! Ty forgot that he had accidentally and unknowingly used his power to make Dustin a later bloomer than Ty. Using his power, Ty decided to change his own late blooming to a normal one, and keep Dustin as a younger brother--for now. Ty now looked like the average fifteen-year-old.
He suddenly realized that Mark not had shouted for Ty to get his butt downstairs for breakfast--clearly the wish had worked. Ty quickly got dressed--he had to wish for his clothes to fit again--and went out into the hallway. After heading down the stairs, Ty went into the kitchen--and was surprised by what he saw. June, Mark, and Dustin had put together a special birthday breakfast for Ty. That alone would have been unusual enough, but Ty was actually surprised by something else. June, Mark, and Dustin were not only dressed like Ty, they actually looked like him! Even Hunter the dog looked like Ty, and was wearing clothes like his as well! Ty saw this as an unintended consequence of his wish to make the family like him--but he wanted to explore his new family a little more.
