The reservations had been made weeks ago, long before the curse had existed. Perry Johnstone and Anita Winnie had no way of knowing that La Louvre had become the worst possible place for them to dine at.
But still, their platonic friendship dinner might have not turned out so bad, had they not been seated near a certain trio of hype-hetero snobs whose openly homophobic comments would eventually catch their attention
The lesbian businesswoman, clad in a light grey pants suit, looked up from her menu, not sure at what she'd just heard over at the next table.
"Perry, did you hear that?"
The bespectacled gay man looked up, with raised eyebrows. He nodded in the affirmative.
"What should we do?"
Anita fretted for a moment. This was supposed to be a chance for Perry and her to catch up on things. But the wisdom and activism of her wife Carrie propelled her to do something about the open bigotry.
Reaching for her smartphone as subtle as possible, she opened the camera app and began recording the hateful words of the two women and the man seated next to them. She could only smile as Perry did the same.
After a few minutes, the blonde lesbian closed her phone and made to get up. Her gay dining partner looked at her.
"Keep watching."
"Where are you going, Anita?"
"To lodge a complaint with management..."
Perry nodded as she left the table. However, neither of them were aware of the 'were breeder' curse that had now latched onto them, just awaiting the right trigger to change them into people with similar attitudes to the snobby trio.
