“Right behind you. What about that restaurant?” The business in question was near the entrance, with a pair of stationed doormen that barred the entrance. The man gives each of the animal features a through once over, then smiles and motions them inside.
“Welcome misses, we were waiting for you. Please follow our waiter as he leads you to the arranged table. Good day, and enjoy yourselves”
Bemused, but not finding anything suspicious, they followed dutifully the server to a small table, perfect for a couple.
“Hey Amy, did you reserve a place in this restaurant?” Taylor whispered when the waiter left them with the menu, mentioning that he will return shortly.
“Don’t look at me, I didn’t even know this business existed half an hour ago! I think they mixed up us with someone else. Besides, we are already seated…” The tables around them were all filled with humans in advanced stages of transformation, with more than half of the customers unable to stand upright anymore. It was clear that the tables were not for the ones on all four, the manager placed several suitable locations for the completely changed animals, a row of bowl with various kind of meat and kibbles was along the east wall, while the opposite wall had a long though exclusively for the herbivores, with hay, soy and fresh grass. Every now and then one of the seated visitors would shift completely and join the other in the feeders without hesitation or second thoughts. No one noticed something wrong when some were lead away by the security to make room for the next clients, judging by their lack of resistance they were willing to follow the men.
