The new recruits for Animalia Ambassadoria were quickly surprised with what the show was about, especially since Mrs. Brown gave them all a talking to before getting their first assignments.
"Animalia Ambassadoria is not one of those trashy gossip magazines that most people seem to prefer reading. Anyone who does articles like "so-and-so's fashion disaster" or similar things will leave and not come back. You all have been warned." After that, they were given various assignments. Some were more able to handle some of them, even if Animalians used such assignments to play the occasional minor prank.

Jerry was leading one recruit into the locker rooms at Claw Coliseum because she was to do a story on the sports programs there. The main problem with that was that she was a freshman and still wasn't used to the concept of either casual nudity or unisex locker rooms. Because of that she had her eyes closed and held her hand up to shield her gaze.
"Okay, we're clear." said Jerry.
But when she uncovered her gaze she immediately re-averted her gaze because she saw a male bull Animalian without any obscuring towel.
"Oh snap!" said Jerry, smiling slightly, "I'm sorry. I thought you wanted to see that."
"I don't want an image like that in my photographic memory." she said, a little angrily, "I promise you, you will pay for that."

Another thing that was covered was the new influx of "immigrants" to Animalia due to the passing of a bill that allowed current and former drug addicts to join Animalia to detox and get new lives. While the original intent was to control Animalia to slow the progress of Regressive Hypersexuality, the discovery that Lily had successfully detoxed from her marijuana addiction during her herm pregnancy caused many congressmen and women who were more concerned about the drug epidemic in America to join those who were "for" Animalia in rewriting the bill.
While the majority of those who were detoxing were from either cocaine or marijuana, there was a good percentage who were suffering from what was considered the most terrifying of all the illegal drugs, heroin. While a decent percentage would be joining the DEA, as per the bill, there were others who were doing other things, including either modeling or acting careers, or physical careers.

There was also another one covering Animalia School of Modeling. When not performing at the Meat Market, Camille Chameleon was able to get a successful career steering would be models away from drugs. Part of this was her own near death experience by heroin overdose at the IAC fashion show, but was also supplemented by her own moderate fear of needles. Dr. Jones, before his break was able to diagnose it as an associative fear of needles.
The theme that the students were working on was "witness the fitness", which often utilized cropped tops, bicycle shorts, yoga pants and similar workout clothing. While doing it right was the primary purpose of the lesson, there were many who were more concerned about the physique of the models rather than the clothes themselves.

Yet another was covering training sessions at the Golden Mountain Dojo, especially Liao's demonstration of her mastery of the urumi sword whip. While her English wasn't perfect yet, she was able to tell some of her story to how she became part of Animalia, and especially Tuxing's little sister.
"I've heard that the people of Sri Lanka take wielding the urumi one step farther then they do in southern India." said one spectator as Liao began another demonstration 'drill'. "They introduce multiple blades attached to one handle, and even dual wielding."
"If I saw that on an ancient battlefield, and wielded by a skilled user," said another spectator, "My only hope would be to be taken prisoner as quickly as possible."

After their articles were handed in, like assignments were in high school, there was an announcement that threw them all into a "frenzy" of preparation.
"This fall break, we're going to be covering the Asian Animalian Colony, so be sure to fill out your permission slips so you won't get in trouble if you have to weather a 'storm from nowhere' and won't make it back to school easily."
