Ruthie threw open the door immediately, her head pounding with anger.
"What the hell is this," she demanded, motioning to the half undressed Josie, "you're a lesbian? You're freaking dyke. I can't believe it."
"Ruthie, calm down," Josie cried, she dropped her phone as tears appeared in her eyes.
"How can I," Ruthie screamed, "and how can you? How can you find this disgusting, perverted, gay stuff hot. Why aren't you into guys, like a normal girl?"
"Because I'm not a normal girl."
"You shouldn't even be a girl," Ruthie cried.
"I wish you would know what its like to be a lesbian."
Stunned, Ruthie stumbled out of her 'sister's' room in silence. Had that been a wish? She couldn't tell. Was anything different? Ruthie returned to her own room, right down the hall, to think in silence.
