While Fall Break was considered one of the "lesser" breaks because it only had four days (including weekends) instead of nine, it can be considered some relief because fall break meant that the school semester was now officially half over. For one relatively new group, it was a chance to see the new Asian colony.
Animalia Ambassadoria (as well as it's twelve new members) were going to the new Asian colony to do some official coverage. But there were some others that were going for other reasons.

Ami was traveling to the Asian colony because she was going to be "in charge of it", so to speak, as Amaterasu due to the fact that part of it was inspired by the Okami and Okamiden video games. She was also going there to meet her new councilors/spirits of the brush. The fact that she was now a white wolf was also why she was going. The goodbye party at the Meat Market was splendid, even though it was among the other employees only.

Jack and Mary Piper were also visiting because their oldest albino daughter was taking some family members and moving to the Asian colony for good. While this was partly to add greater diversity to the gene pool, it was also because Tachigami, as she now called herself, was chosen to represent the rat spirit from Okami. While she did wield a blade, it wasn't several times her size, as it was in the game.

There were also the members of Homosexual Anonymous traveling there because this would be their official "first date", at least according to the program. Leo Skye, Corona, Brawn, Snowflake, Ella, Simone, Tom, and Frank were all taking part, not only because of the program, but Simone had finished her first new album, and already gotten a gold "award" (I can't remember what it was called) for it, and so she was paying for the whole trip.

The Five Elements were also going to visit, but they were planning to have it as one of their homes, partly because the home they were assigned to was better than the one they had when they were part of the cult, and didn't want to leave it. Because Tuxing was being a good big sister to Liao, Liao was warming up to them, and was beginning to talk about her past, even if there was a minor incident of trying to bring her Urumi whip onto the plane they were using.

Heather and Jeremy were also arriving, partly because this was an unofficial continuation of the honeymoon they had during the summer, and partly because several of Heathers friends were also going. While Heather was slightly disappointed that they couldn't "enjoy" the hot spring, she was more glad that Tyra was staying behind to help with the preparations. But she was dreading the coming summer, because all the members of Project Dinotopia would be visiting, and Tyra, it seemed, was always looking for a way to embarrass her.

After a brief stop at Mieni to refuel, the plane managed to get to the Japanese airport where they would travel by ferry to the new colony. It was also fortunate that there was no storm to keep everyone from leaving until too late, so they didn't get too much make-up work.
