Gweneva woke up in a heat. It seemed to burn her forehead sending her synapses into a fit of squirmish. The pain was numbed by experience as for Gweneva this pain was familiar to her, even ordinary. As she experienced this pain every time she woke up.
So, she lay there massaging her eyes as the blurry facade she saw before melt away to a clear image of darkness. She reached for a light switch up near her bed. And as she pushed it, the artificial light swam over her and the rest of the room covering it in this radiant glow.
She knelt up against her bed, rubbing her forehead as the pain seemed to numb back into her sub-conscious.
Her room wasn’t really that remarkable, it was very similar to a small hotel room. The walls were bleached white with a very sci-fy texture going around them. She had two cupboards and a table. And then her personal belongings which were pinned, wrapped, boxes and placed all around this room.
Her bed was as well pure white, and it sickened her just seeing this pale flu every morning. The only form of colour was her many pictures of home.
She stood up and walked towards one of the pictures. This one was her favourite. Her and her friend had brought tickets to see a concert in Edinburgh but because of the rain and traffic they never made it. Yet there this picture was two smiley faces against the pounding rain and the slowness of traffic.
She walked out of her room, looking down the corridor with a sort of sleep gaze. Down the corridor was Andy's and Sarah’s room and up it Petits and Logan’s room. She walked down to Andy’s door and opened it slowly.
The room was lit up meaning Andy had gone for his morning zero gravity job. She scoffed, of course he had. He knows it annoys her.
She closed the door and walked towards the elevator at the end of the corridor. However, before she even got there, she heard a loud a loud scraping and the lights turning off around her.
"Oh Jesus, another power failure well I'll have to call Derek on this one" this is the third one they've had in 1 week. Most probably due to their careful manoeuvring through Yuna belt.
Gwen brought out her phone and called Derek. The phone ringed one time, two, four and then eight before Gwen realised there wasn’t going to be an answer. "Well Derek I hope you sort this out soon, I don’t want to be in my pyjamas any longer". She looked down the dark corridor and realised she saw a figure emerging, it walked slowly towards her however Gwen couldn’t see it due to the lack of light.
Suddenly it called out a familiar voice "Gwen?".
Gwen relieved called out as well "Petit that’s for...thank god I thought I was going to be down here on my own" Petit walked into a more visible place and looked at Gwen "another power outage huh"
"It’s the third one this week, why didn’t we just stay to the predestined course" petit answered. Even though she enjoyed a risk Petit was right they had gone of the predestined course and instead went through Yuna belt.
"Have you heard from Derek" Petit said rubbing her eyes. "N-no he’s not answering" Gwen quivered. She and Petit walked back to the elevator. "We are quite stuck down here" petit said.
"It’s a shame...I would love to be trapped in a room with And-" suddenly Gwen’s phone ringed out in her pocket. She pulled it out and looked at the number. It was Derek. She then answered the phone.
"Ahhh there you are Derek I was beginning to wond-" As Gwen was saying this she heard heavy breathing on the other end. She couldn’t even finish her sentence before she heard a deep demonic voice on the it "H-help me!"
