Gloria and the others were taken aback at Jackie's anger. The girl was usually quite level headed and not prone to outbursts. "Jackie," Katie said softly. "We'll fix this I promise. Its only temporary, things will be back to normal soon."
"When," Jackie growled. "Cause right now my mom and Ann are freaking 10! Lets find your mom and fix this NOW!!!"
Katie, Kellie, and Gloria gaped at Jackie. In the short time they had been talking there had beeb more age changes, as they glanced aroumd the party they couldn't help but wince.
While Glorias friends remained 12 they could see all the adults were now significantly younger. Lisa appeared to be aroumd Katie's original age as she talked with Maddie Haskins, Kumiko, and Cole. The group looked like college coeds as they laughed and talked with one another. "Crap this isnt good," Katie whispered. "It looks like everyone is still getting younger. Lisa looks like a college kid now."
"Yeah and look at Mika's folks," Kellie said, gesturing towards the couple. "Their not much older. We better get your mom quick before everyone ends up back in grade school."
Nodding the girls approached Lisa. Katie and Kellie continually examined themselves. While they hadn't been affected by the latest age jump they worried they could be next. If that happened they wondered if they would be affected mentally like the others. "Gloria let me talk with Lisa," Katie whispered. "If things have changed this much their might be a chance she isnt your mom anymore."
Gloria nodded, biting her lip. Jad things been changed so much that her parents were no longer married? Looking at her father she could see he appeared perhaps 21 at the most, would he even be her father now? Dropping back she looked anxiously at Jackie. She now began to understand the girls rage, all this reality alteration and age changing was erasing her family, no wonder Jackie was so angry. As she now listened to Lisa talk she was shocked by what she heard.
"Ugh shes kicking again," the 20 year old moaned. Jason smiled sheepishly as he now tried to comfort her. "Sorry babe," he said meekly. "Anything I can get you?"
Lisa sighed as she looked at Jason. "You can find us a babysitter after the kid is born," she smirked. "I cant believe I'm going to turn 21 in a couple of months and won't even be able to celebrate."
"Don't worry" Maddie smiled. "We'll make up for it afterwards. I mean you guys made my 21 birthday alot of fun so time tobreturn the favor. Besides we still have yours and Jasons wedding."
"Dont think the wedding is going to be anything special," Jason stated. "Me and Lisa are still paying for school so its going to be small. We'll make somwthing bigger of it after we're a little better off."
"Hey as long as I can design Lisa's dress Im happy," Kumiko smirked as she placed an arm around Lisa. "I mean what are friends for. Besides it counts as course credit."
"Thats my girlfriend always thinking ahead," Cole laughed. Kumiko crinkled her nose as she gazed up at the 19 year old. "Not all of us have the next 5 years planned out Cole," she grinned. "Just because you get to be running around with the Marines doesnt mean I have to just sit home waiting for you to come visit." Cole smiled before placing a gentle kiss on his 20 year old girlfriends lips.
As Katie now approached Lisa she could see Lisa smile and wave. "Hey Kat," she said excitedly. "Hows everything? Keeping an eye on our little sister? You know Ann, always getting into something."
Katie paused, she was Lisa's sister now with Ann as the younger sibling. Composing herself she tried to smile. "Yeah shes fine was hoping we could talk. In private."
Lisa nodded as she now followed the girls into a side room as sje gazed at rhe four girls she felt her curiousity peak. "So whats up," she asked. "Wjat are you and Jasons sister up too?"
"Sister," Gloria thought, alarmed at the prospect. Shaking her head she looked at her former mother. "Um Lisa how old are you?"
"Duh 20," Lisa said in exasperation. "And pregnant with future girl. Whats with the weird questions? Dont tell me yours and Glorias magic is acting all wonky again."
"Yeah a little," Katie said sheepishly. Lisa sighed rubbing her eyes. "Great," she groaned. "So whose being affected?"
"Ummm all of us," Gloria replied meekly. Lisa gave the girl an odd look befire Gloria turned to her sister. "Katie xan you show her?"
Katie nodded as she held Lisas hand and touched her pendant. Gloria watched as Lisas eyes became unfocused for a moment. The moment passed and Lisa now rubbed her eyes. "Ugh what," she groaned. Looking at her rejuvenated daughters she gasped in surpeise before looking herself over and sighing.
"Oh perfect," she grumbled. "Im freaking back in college" Turning towards the girls she gave them an annoyed look. "So who did it?"
"Umm you did sort of," Katie replied.
Lisa furrowed her brow before looking down at her stomach. "Ugh this kid," she groaned. "Why does she keep doing this?"
"Lisa," Jackie exclaimed. "Listen, I'm not having a great birthday here. My mom is my little sister and Ann is her best friend. Can you try and get the baby to fix this?"
"I wouldnt even know how," Lisa exclaimed. "Last time this happened we let this play out before Ann turned back to normal."
"Mom we're all still getting younger though," Katie replied nervously. "I dont know when this will stop. What if you get too young? What if it starts affecting the pregnancy or if we cant remember how things are supposed to be? We could all end up stuck as children."
"Lisa," Jackie said quietly. "We have to get the baby to stop this. Please. I need things to go back to normal."
"Jackie Im not the one thats doing this," Lisa repkied sadly. "Try talking with Lynne here, mayne she'll listen."
Jackie sighed as she now gazed at Lisa's pregnant stomach. "Lynne," she whispered. "I..I dont know if you can hear me, or even understand me. Please, I...I cant lose Ann like this. If....if you can just stop. Please...its mine and Glorias birthday...just please, give this to me as a present."
The girls now stated anxiously at eachother, no one knowing if the unborn wizard woyld listen to their request.
