Jake watched as his former sister walked off. She was now an 18 year old beefcake of a man and Jake was again amazed. Not only was Luke out of the way in a life he deserved, but he essentially got a replacement. Eli seemed to be a much better brother than Luke had ever been, and a much better replacement to his spoiled brat of a sister.
His mother came down as Jake was lost in thought and then he quickly realized she was about to snap or something. She turned to Jake and said "Hi my baby boy. What's the matter? Are you lost in thought about something? Is there anything I can do?"
Jake was stunned. His mother never talked to him this way. She only ever talked to Lizzy like this. "Shit!" thought Jake. "I am the youngest sibling now. I'm the baby of the family, so I'm the one Mom treats the best. This is awesome!"
"Uh, no Mom I'm fine. Thanks anyway!"
His mom walked away smiling and Jake felt amazing. His brother was a dog, his sister was a good brother, and his mother was nice to him. Now the house just had one last loose end. His deadweight father Paul. His dad let his mother do all the work around the house, and then has the nerve to make her go to her job more than he goes to his own. Even when his mother is at work and he's home, he does virtually nothing.
Paul never treated Jake very well, so he needed to be taught a lesson. Jake crept upstairs and found his father asleep in bed with the tv on to one of the ESPNs. Jake was about to take a picture of him when he stopped. "Reality changed every time." He thought. "If I changed one of my parents, will I change? Will I even exist?"
He stopped for another minute before he got himself out of it. He figured he should at least try to change him. Hopefully the camera would just find another way he could exist still.
He took the picture.
