As Tony began sifting through the various options provided by the Chronivac program - age, gender, height, weight, and even more esoteric options, like...species? Well, if her theory was right, that wasn't out of the realm of possibility. However, she began to notice something odd. At first, she thought the selections made under each option were something that had come preset with the program, sort of a default. However, some of them seemed oddly specific, especially age and weight, which were particular numbers. She had a nagging suspicion, but what she saw next made her blood run cold.
Nature: Inanimate
...
Duration: Permanent
Awareness: None
Wait, did that mean what she thought it did? Sucking in a deep breath, Toni scrolled through the other selections, but they seemed to confirm what she had feared. It appeared the prior owner of that particular Chronivac, whoever they were, had made the decision to turn either themselves or someone else into an inanimate object, permanently. Wasn't that suicide, or worse, maybe murder?
Toni shook her head in disbelief. This wasn't what she had signed up for. She just wanted to have some fun, mess around with reality since it had gotten so boring, not to discover something like this. What should she do next? It wasn't like she could report it to the police; who knows if the police would even believe her. She couldn't just reverse the prior change either, since who knows who the person was, or where to go so they would be in range.
