Now as all elvens know they carry in their blood a sort of
SOS Distress mechanism that a elf in distress
sends out involuntarily on the
Elvish Aether Plane to other elves when they are in mortal danger.Elves are certainly not immortal but that elvish distress mechanism
does help keep em alive
leading other races to think elves are immortal.
Clearly changing from a elf warrior to a female dragon in heat
is a good way to trigger that mechanism and before the elf warrior had become more
dragon then elf
the distress signal
had been sent out on the Elvish Aether Plane.
A dozen years ago.
A dozen years ago the Elven Republic had been engaged in a battle with the orcs to free the dwarvish Free State of FireMoss
and hence being preoccupied with a life or death struggle
had been unable to act on a lot of these distress signals, including the one from the once elf warrior in the Kingdom of Bethania.
However they were finally catching up on the backlog and so a small commercial Flying Knorr
was sent off to check up on the 12 year old distress signal.
So there this fine day the fine Flying Knorr ship
Tiamats Rump hovered above the warehouse, her fireoak engines
turning over slowly and her Orc Sea Dog of a Captain Flint watching as the elvish shore workers used a warehouse crane to load the holds of the Tamats Rump with the voyages supplies, including drums of fireoak fuel.
Though Captain Flint and his nine crew of orcs, elves, dwarves, humans and a dragonwench
of a Ships Cook
Meg the Masher as she called herself
had been told they had been commissioned to visit Bethania
to look for some long lost and presumed dead elf prince
it was common knowledge from the elf shore workers that they were
loading fireoak prospecting and exploration crates in a specially reserved section of the flying knorr.
Just like raw deposits of valuable fireoak had led Orkland
to invade the Free State of FireMoss
a dozen years ago
clearly this trips main goal was to scout
out Bethania for
valuable deposits of fireoak and other goodies.
