Mia looked wide eyed up at MaKenna. Not from shock from the sudden change, but from the general curiousity that babies had. The now baby Mia, now dawning a pink onesie with a Huggies Cruisers snug underneath, giggled as she realized it was just the tall lady that mommy would hand her to. She was fun, and the closest thing this baby had to a friend. She blew as hard as she could to the lady, bubbles coming out of her mouth.
"Ppppppbbbt!"
MaKenna blinked as she held the gun. What was she thinking? Even if the gun DID shoot balls or water, if it hit Mia it would just make her cry. She needed to get her head together and keep this out of reach from Mia. She set the ray on the high end table by the couch. She then drew her attention to the other object she was holding, a sippy cup? She REALLY needed to get her head together, this was much too mature for Mia, it would spill everywhere! She shook her head and returned to the kitchen, fastening up a proper bottle and returning to her charge.
MaKenna leaned down and scooped up Mia, craddling the baby in her arms. She sat back down on the couch to enjoy her show, while holding the bottle upright near Mia's mouth for her to feed on.
Hours soon passed and so had Mia, passed out in MaKenna's arms that is. MaKenna smiled down at her, she was a little angel. She wish she could talk to her so she could at least have discussions out side baby babble and peek a boo. She set the empty bottle down on the end table next to the ray, before rising gently and carrying Mia towards the nursery. Walls were lined with a pastel pink colour and clouds. Fat cartoon dragons were riding rainbows like slides or eating cotton candy clouds. A white crib was waiting for Mia as MaKenna walked over and set the tyke down. She tucked Mia in and turned on the Sesame Street mobile above her head. She was lucky to have such a peaceful baby to babysit.
MaKenna headed out of the room, turning off the lights and closing the door partway so she could hear Mia cry if need be.
Mia was sound asleep for majority of the night, until that morning when....
