The Magic Shop

The Totem of Masculinity

You start looking around at the shelves. You feel like a kid in a candy store. Now that you really know what this shop has to offer, you're excited. Sure, you feel some obligation to help your cousin. But... you could also just take his money and get something for yourself. If you can magically wipe his memory, or take the ring, or stop him from hurting you, there's not a damn thing he can do about it. Heck, if you could find something to get some muscles, you could give him a taste of his own medicine and just BULLY the old fart him into giving the ring back. You sigh. You're not sure if you're that mean, though. Asshole that he is, your cousin doesn't necessarily deserve being jammed into an older body. Walker lost 3 decades of his life, that must be hard on anyone.

While you're thinking, a shopkeeper from this morning emerges from a black door at the back of the building. This clerk is an older man, not the younger clerk who sold you the ring earlier today. His hair is a shiny silver, and he has a well-groomed mustache the same color. He's wearing a crisp white dress shirt, which displays a pin with the name of the store on his breast pocket. His gaze is intense, his icy blue eyes studying you carefully. His nose and jaw are long, but he is still very handsome for his age. You think he might be in his mid-50s, but you can't be sure. Honestly, he might be in his mid-500s; who knows what you can expect here. His hands are resting neatly on the glass display, his fingers covered with expensive looking jewelry, a high-end watch sparkling on his wrist. He puts your cousin's weathered body to shame -- you hope you look like him when you're 50. (Or 500.)

You clear your throat to speak, but the shopkeeper speaks confidently before you can utter a word. "Evening m'boy. I see you're back... looks like you tried out that ring, too." He winks when he says this, and you can't help but blush. You hope he doesn't somehow know about your embarrassingly little cock. "Yeah. Actually, I'm here for my cousin. He... erm... borrowed the ring and made a mess of things. So he asked me to pick something up." The shopkeeper stares at you thoughtfully before finally nodding. "Yes... yes, I see. Normally we have a strict policy: one item per customer. But I see that your cousin did really send you here to buy something on his behalf. Anyhow, it's only fair you get another chance after he terrorized you into giving up your ring, hmm?" You're impressed. This guy is good. "Well, take a look around. Let me know when you find something."

You walk past shelf after shelf, seeing many items that pique your curiosity. However, you stop as you walk by a shelf of statues. You're feeling particularly drawn to a rough mahogany statue of a nude man, no feature discernible on the figure's face. You point at the effigy and ask the shopkeeper to tell you a bit about it. "Oh, that's an interesting choice," the old man says with a smirk, "very interesting indeed. That is a Totem of Masculinity. It's very simple to use really - simply being around it causes it to work." You take a step backwards when you hear that. The shopkeeper chuckles merrily. "Not in here of course, m'boy, it would be utter chaos if we didn't have a negation spell in place."

You consider it. "Masculinity" probably falls under Walker's muscles request, and if it works by proximity, maybe you can get a little extra juice too. If masculinity includes dick size... then you could REALLY use whatever magic rubs off on you. Your cousin can always reverse his oldness after midnight, you suppose. The kind old shopkeeper rings you up with a smile. "That'll be twelve thousand, youngster. Sure you can afford that sum?" You nod unsurely. "Do you take bank transfer?" The wizard snaps his fingers and an ornate mobile phone appears, and a few minutes later, you've transferred the money. You're still sitting at close to a million - it feels nice.

As soon as you leave the shop, you feel a gentle energy emanating from the new object. Kind of like heat from a fire, you think, but without the warmth. There's a subtle change in the air around the bag containing the statue. When you get back to your apartment...
