Kyle was amazed that the device could still be surprising him. He thought he had it figured out but it just kept throwing things at him. He was not only living someone else's life, but now he had altered who that person was. Barb's personality had been swapped with a book for god's sake, what else could this thing do?! Kyle snapped out of it with his new friend Kim asking him something.
"Uh, thorry Kim. Can you repeat yourthelf?" Kyle asked, forcibly in Barb's new lisp.
Kim snorted. "Sure Barbie. I was asking who you thought was hotter. Archie, or Jughead?"
Kyle was confused until Barb's memories filled him in. He had no idea that they made a gritty Archie reboot, but apparently his current life loved it. Kyle told her Archie as the two giggled.
Kyle couldn't help but be weirded out by the sight of himself. He towered above the high schoolers. His hair was still its old color but was super curly, super long, and tied up in lame pigtails. He could barely see without his new glasses, and he felt weird wearing a purple sweater vest. It was a little hot for it really.
Kyle looked down at Kim and smiled. She was pretty cute for being such a crazy dork. She had straight black hair down to her shoulders which perfectly framed her pale face and small glasses. She wore a little t-shirt with a star trek logo on it and she wore a bright skirt that matched it. She had a bow in her hair, a skip in her step, and somehow managed to talk fine with braces.
Kyle realized she still wanted to hang around for a bit, but decided it'd be more fun if it was cooler and with better speech. He secretly selected Kim and then himself with the device. He felt reality blur as he was suddenly walking on the other side of the hall. He glanced over and saw Kim where he once stood.
Kim's hair was still deep black but was now violently curly, and tied in the same way Kyle had it. Her smaller boobs were almost fully covered by her new sweater vest, but she still looked almost prettier without braces. She fixed her jeans a little as she asked Kyle a question.
"Hey Kim. Thouldn't we be getting to our next clath thoon?" She said with her new lisp.
Kyle tried not to giggle as he glanced at a classroom window. He saw he now had his brown his straightened out and only at his shoulder's. He wore Kim's t-shirt, fully resized to fit him, as well as her skirt. Kyle felt a little awkward with the skirt, but wasn't as awkward about it as he was with his new braces. He never had them before and the felt awful in his mouth. Yet he also felt weird. He couldn't believe the world considered him a short asian girl! He realized "Barbie" had said something so quickly turned.
"You're right, uh, Barbie. Let's go!" He said, trying to sound as happy go lucky as possible.
Kim in Barb's life bought it as they scampered off to their next class. It was their history class so unfortunately they sat far apart. Kyle, of course, didn't really mind as it gave him new people to play with. So, who would Kyle swap with this time?
